i just read the text without watching the video, and i think
that EpicMegatrax should read it, but maybe if he took the
bus at night from central london and leading towards
brixton/croydon, stepped down in a crowded street, had a
long walk and ate fried chicken or the like, then come here
and report about culture.

saw this thread. thought about linking my burial review, but
decided to just leave the whole thread alone. i've made my
point; why not be nice? let mr "i named a track 'in
mcdonalds'" have a nice, quiet anniversary thread. without
me.

then, go figure, i'm mentioned in the first reply to the
thread

by the way, 'in mcdonalds' you can also find sheleter from
the cold if you're homeless and eat the other people's
leftovers.

doesn't seem like a whole decade ago, i agree. that doc
doesn't have much new to add though, just a bit of sample
digging. i still feel an affinity with burial using wave
editors though, they're great for off-kilter steppy drums

yeah that's a major theme on this album, being homeless,
being marginal

There's not much to say about technique. He does his thing
how he does it, the main thing abut the wave editor
technique is it takes him off a grid, working on a blank
canvas. Aside from that, I guess its all luck, taste, trial
and error, discipline, talent, angels guiding his hands, &c.

I enjoyed this, would love to see an hour long version,
showing more sample sources.

wonder if he'll do another LP.
I reckon he's gone off travelling the world a bit in the
years since, going from some of the EP tunes.

it's always too brightly lit too have an impromptu rave
outside River Island or whatever the fuck these places are
called. might be fun seeing how long it takes security to
haul us off.

well i was kidding about the disco, in reality it would just
be nice to pass from those places and hearing burial while
walking off, i dont know how a resident would take it but
from a foreigner its magic

I think the soundforge beats thinkg is true for him doing
the beats, but i think he did the vocs and other things on
top in something else.

I mean, who hasn't sat around bored as fuck in a dark smokey
room with yr mates playing Playstation, and fucked about in
Audacity for a laugh. I think he had a massive folder of
beats and vocs bits he did like that, then made an LP out of
them.
