BEST PLAID ALBUM

i think it's rest proof clockwork
(not counting black dog works)

absolutely the best plaid album to date, every time i play
rest proof their creativity amazes me,every track is
completely different, every track lives in its own world, and
yet they form a very coherent whole.their latest double
figure is very weak compared to this one,its just very
linear and one-dimensional,that one dimension is great, but
theres nothing more, and im not satisfied with only great
commercial-melodic-listenable album from ed & andy...
hopefully things will get better with the new one,cuz their
p-brane ep is fantastic...a little harsher sound,heavier
beats....and.....a change:)

I agree.
I think rest proof clockwork is their best album.. It's so
cute and melodic.
It makes me think of playtime in preschool.
:)

I'm not agree, definitely, my fav album is Double Figure.
I'm not able to find a track as beautiful as Sincetta in the
previous Plaid's album.

Mbuki Mvuki, 100% sure of this. Also all old Black dog
(=Plaid + Ken Downie) releases are absolute essensial

I cant decide if I like doublefigure or restproof the most.
favourite track is 'new family' though. all cold and icy
until 4:18... auuu!

plaid should release a collection of their remixes.. they're
all good! be sure to get their remix of scorpio for
example..

i only have favorite tracks but not a favorite album. if i
had to pick a best release as a whole [w/ the largest %age
of good stuff on it], probably Booc, but it's always easier
to say that about EP cause they don't have as much stuff on
them. haven't heard all of P-Brane yet though.

it should actually probably be "Rust Proof Clockwork" cause
that title was found on the bottom of an old metal wind-up
submarine toy. 'clockwork' is the word used to describe
those kind of wind-up toys i'm guessing.

Rest Proof Clock was my least fav. It's a tie between Not
for Threes and Double Figure for albums. Though, P-Brane EP
and Peel Sessions are awesome too.

And yes, New Family is probally my favorite Plaid song!
That or Spudink.

hmm..agree there..I like the "Rest Proof.." a lot but it
doesnt get played all that often...a tie between Not for
Threes and Double Figure..but Not for Three's I have
thrashed to death..and Double Figure is a technical
marvel....

i feel double figure is their best work to date. but i give
a 9.5/10 for p-brane, it's amazing. but it's just an ep, i
dont compare eps to lps.

lot although im usually more into more
confieldish/autechrish artists.

Which is your fav track of double figure?
