MONEY!!!

goddamnit i hate money.

first thing i think of when i wake up in the morning is how
much money i'm going to have to spend in the coming week.

then that makes the second thing i think about how mad i am
at my gf for still not having a decent paying job after
being in the same dead-end piece of shit retail thing for
2.5 years.

then i think about how i have a totally awesome paying job,
but because i support two people on my income i'm broke as
fuck and can't afford to buy the beer i want to drink, buy
the food i want to eat, buy the weed i wanna smoke, buy the
tickets for all the shows i wanna go to... i'm eating pasta
and drinking miller hi life and smoking shitty outdo and not
seeing any live music at least until the fifth of next
month.

so yeah, how awesome do you guys think money is? do you
enjoy having it? do you enjoy not having it? other than
making enough of it to live on, how the fuck do you not make
this stupid shit run your life and occupy almost every
waking thought???

rar.

i think about it a fair bit .

so i'm trying to grow food, so i can have fresher nosh and
save money too.and i insulated my room so I spend less on
heating.

things like toilet roll,i think: Why did i pay 5000 grands
on that posh bog roll when I could have got it from a cheap
store? all tiny savings adds up at the end of the month.

anyway the more i save, the less i worry. that’s a tip .
try and save and use less too, then your fave beer is far
more reachable.

i make enough to pay the bills and avoid acquiring dependent
lifeforms. i value free time more than money (to a point).
so i pretend i don't have any money, just bills that
magically take care of themself. then every once in a while
i look in my bank account and i see i have NINE HUNDRED
DOLLA as jnasato might say, at that point i sink the excess
into some new music or video or computer equipment, or maybe
donating to aphex twin/phobiazero to make xlt dedicated

i'm never broke and when i get bare
stacks i spank em. tho the spanking is minimal these days.
living off the social, so i'm time happy and have enough for
the nessessities, but nothing too extravagant.

speaking of money, can any of you guess how much
this trendy item sells for in dubai?

Answer: $550 - $850 per unit

Just sayin... I know some asshole who's flying in from
london every month and making over 20,000 squid per visit..
with a diplomatic passport of course so he doesn't even need
to shove it all up his butt, he just throws them into his
bag.

money is being more annoying today than usual. i've had to
spend most of the day working instead of fixing my horrible
dull ceephax review video, and now that i'm finally into it
my computer reminds me that it chokes on anything more than
a track or two in 720p. and i can't afford a faster one,
right now.

Overclock your pc epics.

you may be able to get 10 -20 percent more speed if your
bios is any good.

See if you can alter the frequencies in the bios .
(but if you do , monitor cpu temperature - realtemp is good
and test the pc with prime95 to see if it is stable).

i had it overclocked for a while, but then the bios got
reset after i left it unplugged for a month, and i never
bothered to put it back. didn't make any noticeable
difference. i need another four cores, not a gentle bump.

wouldn't advise overclocking unless you're proper neckbeard.
it's very easy to fry things if you're careless or poorly
informed.

it's actually fine for what i do, most days, but i've been
feeling the pinch since upgrading to a camera that records
in HD.

so i guess the answer is, if i'd been more of a tightwad and
stuck with my shit camera i'd not have any problems.

Money feels great when you have a lot to spend but money
sucks big time when you haven't got any. Money influences
people way to much, there should be a solution for that but
it's still not there yet unfortunately.

Just buy the most cheap shit possible. When I was low on
cash, I'd buy the cheapest high nutrient foods, like pasta,
eggs, rice, discount older veggies, etc. Living like this
for awhile- if money is coming in- can result in quite a lot
of savings. And also live somewhere where the rent is dirt
cheap. I also used to grow my own ganj, so I had unlimited
smoke for cheap.

Money can bring out the worst in people, but also, it can
bring out the best. Like right now, if I had a few hundred
thousand dowlaz, I'd be happier. Not cuz the money- duh!-
but cuz I'd be traveling more, going to more events, and be
able to spend more time with friends, without having to do
nothing.

thanks for all the inputz, guyz!

i've actually been doing a lot of these things already: been
eating pretty much pasta exclusively for the last few weeks,
not going to any shows, buying the cheapest beer possible,
and taking my work intake of ganja from 3 joints to 1 joint
a day (i'd grow it myself but i have no room and have
friends who are excellent horticulturalists - however, i do
have a homebrew kit i need to get working on!)

the big thing for me was i was on unemployment for a long
time, and seriously broke before that, but then i got this
job that paid great and was living in super cheap housing
and had absurd purchasing power, which i admittedly got
really used to.

now we got kicked out of our old super cheap spot (no fault
of our own, roommates decided to stop paying rent and the
landlord did not want it becoming a squat again) so we had
to move and found our own little place, which is awesome,
but almost 2x as much rent as we were paying before.

so it's really just a serious adjustment period for me - i
went from not ever having to check my bank account and being
able to fire up a joint whenever i want to having to
scrounge like i'm on the dole again even tho im working 40
hours.

oh, and for the record, i don't hate my girl, she's awesome,
just sometimes needs a fucking fire lit under her ass.

man, i was really in a rotten fucking mood a couple days
ago...

i remember being shipped off to a field office for a few
weeks, and i had the same conversation with 2/3 of the
people there:

"do you have kids?"

"no"

"don't start!"

most mornings they would tell stories of how they woke up to
find their kids had smeared cottage cheese all over the
kitchen. it's hard to tell if they were actually miserable
or if complaining about their kids was just local culture.

in any case, i've decided to take their advice. for now.
