Would you be intrested?

No, not if it was "noise" like that KTPA shit. I still do
not believe anyone genuinely enjoys that.

I would be interested if it was something like the "sound
design" aspects of Drukqs thrown together without any
musical structure (IE no discernable rhythm/scales).

An also relevant question- if Richard *Devine* did a noise
album, could it have more substance? That dude got his
textures and glitch tek doooowowowooown. TOO BAD HE HAS NO
SOUL!!! Or does he? ...or does he.

Yeah to that creative noise KTPA shit

I would listen to a full album of that and give it the time
of day

What brought this on was I was listening to the pendulum
swinging barbican live performance on youtube

It was an interesting concept though it sounds boring. It
infected my ears with fecal matter as time went on

It sounds like Mr Aphex is still experimenting with that
type of live performance and not ready to do full tracks in
that style?

I love the rope piano track, it's gorgeous, the pendulum
sounds are tedious though

Think of what an Aphex track could sound like then
Rope piano + pendulum + ktpa noises + microphone processing
all at the same time arranged into a masterful composition.
Add some gongs, huge bells, + weird cymbals.

id be very interested in more acoustic works, especially
with a noisy edge as the prepared piano tracks for example
:)
actually i dig those a lot. all in all id be welcoming a
second drukqs.
and id also love to hear a more industrial sounding techno
thing,
by rdj (again) for a long time now...

i want to hear a track he spent more than a weekend on, with
the sort of programmed complexity featured in drukqs. his
classical/piano stuff is "OK," he is good enough to get away
with it, but it's not really the dish i visit the restaurant
for. ditto for noise trax.

he did flirt somehow in the come to daddy era, isnt it?
i enjoyed that kind of integrated noise on common afx
beats.

i still remember the epic moment while djing in sonar 2004,
when he mixed comercial tunes with wild pure noise,
destroying them. that was hilarious and fun. too bad theres
not a recording of that session...

Been thinking about noise music the last few days because i
went to a noise show last saturday, Jelena Glazova was the
name i think. It was really really good actually. dont know
how it is on record though but it was a nice live set.
Except when a guy in the audience farted and it smelled
really bad, which sort of confirmed the cliché about the
audience of that kind of "difficult" music, that they like
to smell their own farts and all that. It annoyed me a bit
that this culture hasn't moved on...too fart-friendly.

Dont think i'd like a pure noise album by afx though, not
sure why

because as good as a pure noise afx album would be, it's
much more deeply, long-lastingly awesome when he programs a
track with depth and intent as opposed to just raping our
earholes for NN minutes

Aphex makes dance music you set of knobs, it's just basic
dance music.
I'm going to get some hot chocolate, smell you later 8 )

He should, just for the fun of seeing all his boys trying to
make noise until further notice...

Take the KTPA tracks and play them at 1/10 speed, you've
basically got a noise album right there
