The New Xltronic SURVEY!

The New Xltronic is in progress. We're like halfway
through... or something. Should I make The New Xltronic
public beta?

Pros:
+ I can get rid of this server earlier. I don't want double
server costs....
+ More user feedback
+ No particular release date to fight for ;)
+ Reviving Xltronic
+ ...

Cons:
- No surprise effect
- Chaotic and messy
- ...

Wow amazing!

I'm all for new server/beta, the community will live through
it :)

Having a public beta and allowing the users to give feedback
will help you to create a far better site won't it?

I mean I wouldn't know having never run a website bigger
than one page but I'm for the beta.

yes, but perhaps not on this pretty early stage...

we had a crew of around 10 ppl beta-testing the first
version of xlt a few years back...

most things should be functional so people can go about
their business.. it should also not look completely like a
sketch i think.

Maybe a short private beta for a month or two would work
before moving it on to a public one?

Question #2:

I'd like:

1) Earthish colors (green/brown/yellow/black/white) ?
2) Greyish colors (grey-scales/black/white/) ?

Earthish colors, not too different from this. It's an
xltronic tradition. Let the rest of the fuckers in the world
have their businessy blue websites.

And public beta!

Earthish colors are very zilty, so we should keep them
going. Can't wait for a public beta :)

earth colors!! (maybe throw in a desaturated green somewhere
this time around?). Also I agree with cx that a public beta
should still be functional enough for the average user to
get by on.

I'm glad to hear this bit of news. keep us posted, phobs!

This is really funny for some reason, I guess the wait for
V2 and all the jokes with it built up this amazing
punchline. Good work I'm happy to see XLT not going away!

Hopefully the grand opening will bring back some old posters
, Princo, Anus,Virginpusher, qrtr,Jedi Chris... it would be
neat !

i don't see a problem. this board is all about chaotic and
messy.

and that "only 30 hours" remark deserves a big spanking.
you're not going to tell us that after 5+ years you could
have a new website in roughly 30+ hours....

MY GOD

Are you seriously suggesting you pair of tarts have been
mincing about for thrity hours spread over five years
wondering whether or not to release the new version of XLT
because you can't decide on the color scheme?

PS: Make me a mod again.
