out...

I really like him too, Tides on CCO is amazing.

I've heard Arovane, they are great. Someone told me to check
them out, that they sound like a mix between Boards of
Canada and Autechre, i'm not sure I agree, but rdj/boc/ae/sp
fans should dig it. "Tides" is a good album. "I.O." is worth
checking out too.

Arovane's 'Atol Scrap' and 'Tides' are both amazing. But
Tides sees Arovane developing more of his own sound than
Atol Scrap.

'Tides' is almost like a mix bewteen BoC (Geogaddi style)
and Autechre (oldskool).

Sort of.

I kept posting to find out more about City Centre Offices
and they were ignored so here's my chance again. Any
recommendations for this label apart from Arovane.

I got a mix of stuff off the radio and it was all class.

First of all, arovane is nothing but quality. Tides is
easily one of my most loved albums,

I prefer not to compare artists like Arovane because it's so
unique, he has a long career and his own brand of sound..
and that whole he's nothing but "BOC clone" and "Autechre
clone" stuff is well, bullshit. I might see some relation,
but Arovane surpasses so much of this.

Arovane - Official Site

Arovane @ Discogs.com

btw if you are new to Arovane, i highly recommend "Tides"

-side note: Tides is inspired entirely by the ocean (the
recording captures this perfectly), he took a long trip up
the French coast to do all his work for this; Christian
Kleine provided the guitar work also, and if you are not
familiar with mr Kleine check him out too!

bye.

mean, I like his music.

City Centre Offices is a great label.
Other artists worth checking out are:
-Christian Klein
-Static
-Ulrich Schnauss
-The excellent compilation, Cashier Escape Route

Also, if you like CCO, try the stuff on Morr Music, another
amazing label with similar taste. :)

got Atol Scrap yesterday ... very very nice sounds.
crisp rhythms, delicious melodies.

Arovane seems to be one of those artists that always slipped
through my fingers ...

phob. those ep's you're talking about are all on the ICOL
DISTOL compilation cd right? mmm...

if atol scrap is the equivalent of tri rep. is icol distol
the equivalent of incunabula/amber?

... and wasn't meaning to reduce Arovane's music to Ae or
whatever ... but it seems a valid ground on which to compare

The Parf EP is great too...

Atol Scrap and Tides are simply too good. Funny how BoC gets
all the praise, while there are so many others that are as
good if not better.

Luverrly.
