I just got hold of a copy of the new one.
Really don't bother!
The last one was dull but this one is really pushing the envelope. It is a real shame because I thought Mind Elevation was a nice direction and should, if all things were fair, have pushed them into the mainstream.
If you have liked them in the past pull out their older stuff and just pretend the last two albums never existed.

i quite liked their last album in some parts, although it dragged on. not really THAT interested in the new one, but i guess i'll check it out when the spirit moves me. too bad about your impression, doesn't bode well.

Not good at all.
I used to listen to them all the time. I think I nearly wore out Smokers Delight (I think I bought it about 3 times after lending it to people and not getting it back). I really wanted to like it.

were they the big fat king size ones that were a promotion for in a space outta sound? my friend had those (actually discovered nightmares... because of the papers and my recommendation). they roll spliffs quite nicely.
on another note, i quite liked their last album. not as sonically adventurous as the previous two, but it was a wonderful album to throw on a chill out to. some really good r&b melodies in there, to me it has a similar feeling to burial's second album.
i'll be listening to this new ep soon.

yeah. the coolest part about them is the perforated bits of paper at the end of the pack that serves as making nicely sized crutches (lil paper filters rolled into the end of a spliff, if theyre known as something else in the uk).

you're wrong sir
N.O.W's sound engineer, live band members and guests - including Ricky Ranking, Chyna Brown and Ella May - joined him in a convoy of camper vans.

Save your apologies for all your other contemptible errors.
It's been aaaaagggesss since I've taken a faux dig at you, it feels like putting on an old pair of slippers. My own slippers, not someone else's.

For the record, Nightmares on Wax is a loose collective featuring all the members of Gescom, the Aphex Twins, the original LFO who left shortly before the other three made themselves famous, Square from Squarepusher, Richard H Kirk and some other bloke.

no need to apologize, i was talking about the ep this thread refers to. the music in this album is not played by one man only, you notice it listening to the tracks unless he played the live instruments alone, and i think that it's just fair to say that they have been a band of nightmares on wax playing together. plus, with this one it seems that he's definately not going back to do solo stuff but i might be wrong of course. it's a good work and it has its good moments but it's also weak overall, for sure it sounds like he (they) didn't give a fuck about the audience and thought about enjoying their trip so it's all good. on the warp side, saying that this is fresh enough to deserve a release and dropping jimmy edgar is pure nonsense imo.

Mohamed, chill, those apologies had far too many dots at the end..
Many people work for prince (for example), yet oddly enough prince is not a band. Anyway let's FORGET IT!
