The "People's Choice Award" hosted by DotMusic:

The IMAs highlight the best music sites on the internet
(both official and unofficial) and this year dotmusic is
hosting the People's Choice Award - the only award voted for
by the fans.
Last year 2,653 websites registered and 150,000 music fans
cast their votes.

The awards will be handed over at a glittering awards
ceremony at the top of London's BT Tower on November 26. You
could be there courtesy of dotmusic, with a guest sipping
champagne, before receiving the award for best music
website.

better...

See it as you vote on yourself! It's you, the visitor, that
makes this place so warm and wonderful... *sniff*

We're a community here - you and me and everybody else! The
messageboard is (and will remain) a very essential part of
Xltronic. It's kind of fantastic, since the MB is the only
active section of this site and still there are loads of
visitors here - every fucking day/hour/minute!

Thank you for your votes!

I hate to sound like an ass but this is not really a good
site yet. If anyone comes here they see a few downloads and
a message board. I'm sure this site will be great when it's
all up and running but do you think any site with only a MB
would win an award? If I was a judge I would not see the
plus points of the board as clicking on a few random posts
may reveal a topic totally unrelated to music. I want to
vote, I want to donate but unfortunately I feel voting for a
site that isn't here is misleading.

This is the People's Choice Award - not judged by
some fucking Britney/Robbie Williams fan-idiot. If you wanna
vote then do it - othervise skip it.

Over and out.

Don't worry, I voted! I'm on the verge of considering a
chain email telling people to vote and they'll win £10,000
guaranteed and sending it to loads of girls who will believe
it. ;)

It's good that it's people's choice, might be a chance to
get some mainstream recognition for the scene...

Agreed - I think the point of the People's Choice Awards is
for a website, not just a messageboard. There are millions
of those across the internet.

Now, if the site is up by the awards, then that's another
story... :)

Good luck!

I voted on the basis of aphextwin.nu being good. If this is
an extension of that then it's going to be good. The sheer
size promised has me salivating. I see your points though.

Spreading doubt among the believers ;)

Are you entering WATMM? I really like the "resource" side of

This site deserves to be nominated because the message board
covers every topic possible. Where else can you see
discussions on poverty, racism, aphex twin, anal cunt and
chocolate biscuits?
