Hello all! Sorry to let you know, but i disabled the search feature until I will be able to sort the database problems out. It's just one guess that this functionality locks the database up, but if it happens again, I will know that search is innocent. If it does not happen again, then i will rework it into a clean and happy search indexing system... Happy everything! --tune |

Yeah the current search is technically a disaster. I am not gonna go into details, but it is very inefficient and slow. |

I was talking about this: If you posted in some topic, you can find it by clicking on your 25 previous messages and change the start variable in address bar.. Anyway, it's worse without search then with it, I agree 100%. |

yes, or you can also note manually the #s/URLs of the threads you like too... no use for a "real" search of course but works if you just want to find back a topic you know. |

if 'html trickery' fucks things up (and some js cross scripting could be rather interesting; automatically post your login cookie, anybody?), something should seriously be done about it. it's only going to be a matter of time until some outside tool decides to ruin things for everybody. inevitably xltronic will get larger. |
