Bought some Brian Eno today, more specifically, On Land... I'm only on my first listen through, but it's pretty cool... very visual, as is supposed to be the case...

the only brian eno album i've heard was a cooperation with bill laswell. it was called "spinner". there were some cool moments, but i don't know... i'm sure he has done something better.

I must say I'm loving this album... very nice indeed... I love SAWII, but SAWII is almost too long for me... whereas this ambient album is a good length to listen to in one sitting, around 45 minutes...

Daniel Lanois made U2 sound good...Eno helped. Music for Airports did nothing for me, at all. tried Apollo. it was a ok, a little better. still want to hear Drawn form Life.

it really is amazing what a few well placed notes can do, with some other sounds coming in and out of focus...

Of all the Brain Eno stuff I've heard (and it's alot), "On land" is about the only release that didn't sound like new-age crap.

yeah... isn't it what Eno considered to be the album most close to his concept of ambient aswell? (atleast at the time of production)
I like it a lot... Is there another another ambient artist as interesting as Eno?

I wasn't really serious. I haven't heard NEARLY enough ambient to be a judge, but it would take something to top On Land in my list.
