http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6282327.stm

Almost nine million people watched her apologise and
deny racism on Channel 4 on Friday, according to early
ratings.

Goody made her name on the non-celebrity version of Big
Brother in 2002.
She has since earned millions of pounds through TV
shows, magazine deals, an autobiography, a perfume and
fitness DVDs.

I'm afraid that pretty much says it all.

The modern Irish state sucks nearly as much cock, but at
least it hasn't got the glorious aura of a fallen empire.
Thus far, celebrity culture hasn't entirely replaced
political discourse, but there's still time, eh lads!

Scotland isn't too badly off, they'd be in better shape if
they could get their hands on the oil money that goes
straight to London.
Wales is fairly unviable, but they ain't got shit compared
to Northern Ireland. There, 1 in 4 people is a civil
servant. The economy is pretty much circular, service-based
ultra-light industry and civil service. The very last
industries are already slipping out the door, following the
hapless textile mills and ship builders.
They should tear down all the statues of "martyrs" and
"patriots" in Northern Ireland, and just put up one to the
anonymous English tax-payer who's bailed out the embattled
statelet all these years.

I think we should force the English and the Irish to mate,
producing a bucktoothed drunken twatfaced peerage.

I have to agree with you. I don't despise my home country,
but there is a worryingly celebratory attitude towards all
that is brainless, thuggish, banal and plebeian overe here.

was a Hungarian writer who came to live in England and he
wrote this fantastic little guide that quietly rips into
England and Englishness.
