isn't it already time for choosing the best album of 2006?

or is there anything "big" coming up that could change my
mind?

my votes go to:

andy stott - merciles

i'm really a big snares fan and besides not being the album
2006 it isn't even a good snares one

I'm currently really enjoying "The Letting Go" by Bonnie
'Prince' Billy. But I've not long since bought it so it's
still too early to say.

ooh, it's a really really good album. needs to sink in a bit
before REALLY unleashing its power.

i'm not sure about my fave so far. bonnie's album is one,
then there's the fantastic califone one, the
yoshihide/laswell/yatsuya tzádik effort, tool's new one,
beck's new one, jolie holland, nina nastasia, tom waits, new
tim hecker bla bla... god, i'm gonna have to think it
through a bit :(

Mastodon- Blood Mountain. I usually don't catch up on a
given year's output until the year after though, I have a
big backlog and I have a tough time keeping up with new
releases in real time.

Tim Heckers new one is JUST INSANE!! Extremly goooood! the
album before Harmony In Ultraviolet was a big dissapointment
but Harmony is maybe album of the year!

Body Riddle is one of them too.

I'd say there were about 3 real good songs on The Eraser and
the rest are decent tunes. basically i just found myself
carrying that one around the most this year
