you think you'd enjoy becoming brainless hardass who can
only follow orders? (excuse my ignorance on army training
but as far as i know, this is the result)

Nah, especially after seeing my mate being in the army. He
really wanted to go but now he's there he has discovered
it's a load of bollocks and is waiting to finish his time
there. Such a shame. He had great plans of what he would do
but all the red tape and political bullshit has ruined it
for him. He has garnered some awesome skills though so it
wasn't a waste of time.

i was trying to avoid it at all cost and finally reached the
age when the army didn't want me anymore. and i'm glad i
made it. army fucked the minds of a few of my mates. waste
of time really. if you had to learn how to shoot to protect
your family - you'd have to learn it in 5 minutes. "army
teaches discipline" fuck yeah, just look at what the u.s.
troops were doing in Iraq.

that's more or less what i think about it.

the army is nothing but a silly extension of school where
you somehow believe yourself to have less responsibility for
what you do than elsewhere; "it was just an order!", etc.
People who join the army right after.. ehh.. the school you
go to from 16 to 18 (many people join the army right after
this, as we're drafted then, but there's an option to do
civil duty instead, and I know many people who really don't
like the army or what it does, but still joined the army
instead of taking civil duty) are morons who aren't ready to
handle life on their own, but still need to get commands,
etc. People who join a few years later, after having thought
things through, are bigger morons for actually
wanting to join this silly institution.

hey, let's wage war!

there are no soilders

oh well

definitely never.

it's not even just the dying / killing / permanent injuries
stuff that i'd be afraid of; but i hate hierarchy, i'm a
wimp, and i'm pretty sure there are hundreds of things there
that would make me feel terrible.
