i'm listening to Myrninerest by Ikue Mori and this
one might take the cake for me right now... really bizarre
and refreshing.

though it's not the only "weird" album in my collection, and
i might change my mind later.

what do you class as weird? most of the albums i own are
pretty standard by most people who listen to
experimental/eletronic music, but your average joe would say
'this is weird shit omg its just noise and why aren't they
singing'

Biosphere / Deathprod - Nordheim Transformed
Really strange, but very cool and atmospheric. Like the
soundtrack to a deranged Eastern European animation film, or
a mental asylum.

And most of Coil's music is pretty weird.

Oh hang on, I was thinking of "queer" not "weird"

i just want to know what you find the weirdest, i
don't care much about what an "average joe" might think. :
)

weirdness is very subjective... but i guess that's part of
the interest.

For me it's Boom Bip and Dose One's 'Circle'.
Sclah, have you heard Arve Henricksen's 2nd solo album? His
falsetto definately threw me off but the album is too
brillant to hold that against it.

"And most of Coil's music is pretty weird."

> i agree, Love's Secret Domain was the first album
to strike me with such bizarreness. it was years ago, i had
downloaded it because people were recommending it; i had
found it barely listenable at all and kept it out of pure
curiosity at the time. thanksfully, i grew to really like
it.

I have lots of wierd albums but the one that I acctually
listen to is a Luke Vilbert one of incidental experimental
music from a french radio station/studio. Always makes me
smile, there is a track called Turkish Delight that is
great.

I dunno. Magical Power Mako's first couple of albums must be
up there, weird contemporaneous Japan psyche. Or Mort
Garson- The Wozard of Iz, which is like a bizarro world
version of The Wizard of Oz, which is actually pretty weird
to begin with.
