i quit my job about a month ago and have been doing nothing eversince basically. i write a review here and there, go out to gigs, listen to music, see a film. few days ago i got a bunch of stuff to do and it will keep me occupied basically 12hrs of hard work for the next week, but i really need some money. i'll see after that. hopefully i won't have to work in a stresful position ever again.
how about you? i don't recall seeing you up this late before.

I handed in my masters thesis a week ago, and this is my 6th nightshift in a row. I'm tired of my job and trying to find a new one. It's comfortable and the pay is good, but it's not challenging and personally developing to sit up all night watching films and posting on xltronic.

no idea where that's from. i doubt it's somewhere in slovenia.
i know what you mean about job. i had similar situation i reckon. doing work that was totally unnecessary, paid well but it was extremly stressful in the end because we got into some trouble that we weren't even responsible for and it ruined basically 2 or 3 years of my life. i feel 100% better atm and it's only a month since i quit. i wasn't aware my work was bringing me down that much, so i'll be much more careful about what i do in the future.
as for computer worker, i was using a computer but nowdays you use a computer at any job basically :)
what did you study again? was it medicine?

Eeeh...It was Poland, sorry :) My masters degree was in science of health. It's kinda theorethical (no medicine) and has a psychological approach to health. I'm particularly interested in work and health, and the relation between people and their jobs. So it'a always interesting to check out threads called things like "OMG my job sucks!". Many boardmembers seem to be stuck in jobs they don't like, and for the time being, that also includes me :)

haha, we have a nice saying for that, but i can't think of one in english atm.
so will you be giving advice to people for what sort of job they should be after or will you be just making research on this matter?
how long is one shift in norway nowdays?
the more i think about work the less i see the point of it. i like culture and science but that's not real work. everything appart from that is a waste of time :)

My shifts are 7,5h (day/evening) and 10h (night). I don't think I would give advice to people, but I imagine I could do research and maybe intervention on workplaces. For now, I'm tired of research, but I have seen a job as a college-teacher or what it's called. I'm gonna apply, but I don't think I'll get it. Also; it's on the other side of the country.

that teaching thing seems like an good option. definitelly the kind of work you don't feel like you're wasting your time about. unless it gets into a routine, but in your field that could hardly happen i imagine. way too dynamic sort of field you're into..
i wasn't aware that sort of thing exists up until now, well actually i never really thought about it, but now im interested in reading something about it..to see what i did wrong :)

Well, I guess it's obvious that you need to find an interesting job to be happy. It can be hard of course. Freelancing seems kinda appealing, but I have borrowed too much money to even consider that.

yes, interesting is definitelly the key here. but interesting for me usually means low paycheck, so i'll have to get a proper work and do stuff i enjoy as a hobby most likely. unless i come up with something smart. i don't want to miss out on anything in my life because of work. i threw away too much of it as it is..and there's so much stuff i want to do in the future i would probably never be able to do if i got a regular job..i guess i'll keep trying to come up with something profitable so i'll be able to focus on more important things than work :D
im sure with this attitude i will fond something in no time haha

Bwoon Dub Backdoor. Ranky. S Trojan. Killav. E Phonatacid
Can't decide the last one but atleast, too close.
We'll talk about different music once its worth talking about. The amount of threads reagarding Analord are a credit to its quality.
Plus, choosing your top five is a great opertunity to listen to them all again.

its hard to chose, apart of the three or four tracks i dislike, the rest are all good tracks, with a similar level of quality and beauty in my ears and with a particularunique characteristic each one.
