1) pick a track
2) try to identify all instruments/channels in that track
3) try to emulate each instrument/channel using your mouth
4) record it

the BEST contribution is gonna win something nice.

i will post some more guidelines later on and tip on how to
actually do this technicallywise.... perhaps some musicians
here will share some tip as well......

know what i mean?

Beatbox a track? Is that the main thing here?

Like i pick girlboy and then try to emulate it using various
mouth techniques?

offline vlari from beyond the valley of the LOLs on 2006-03-09 12:33 [#01856331]

does it have to be the mouth? can't we use parts of
our body, like banging our torso to make a massive kickdrum?
and I guess if you're doing drum and bass, farts will be
good for basslines

one way to do this is to:

1) choose a fav. track
2) identify and analyse all channels/instruments in the
track - write them down
3) play the track from the beginning - do your mouth-thing
with channel 1..... while recording the whole stuff..... let
the whole song play. stick to the channel..... save the file
as trackname-channel-01.wav or something.....
4) do the same thing with the nexts channels...... let the
whole track play while ding your mouth-stuff.
5) when all channels have been processed... import all
channels into your favourite audio-application and sync all
channels .....
6) enhance, enhance, enhance.......

well, that's just one of possible ways of doing it... and im
not even a music-maker.... share your tip!!!!!!!

start experimenting...... i will do a proper announcement
later on.....

"enhance, enhance, enhance......." can mean a lot, for
example, the use of effects.

we might need to define what's allowed and what's not.

it's like editing photos..... it's usually ok to to do some
bightness/contrast settings, but more than that might be
defined as "fake"....

who makes strange sounds when wearing headphones.
This one time at the bus stop I did just about all of milk

laughing.
