Not convinced it's worth buying if you've got all the
originals...

yeah 'i'm self employed' is the shit. actually that whole
side.
Probably already been said but apparently the tunes are abit
different. Boomkat has a few details. Don't care what you
lot think, i haven't heard mp3s of them, and have a top
record player and system, and thet clips do sound a little
different to me. esp the last clip. (5?)

does it occur to anyone that they will have different
mastering than the vinyl did, if nothing else. mabey some
different stuff, mabey not who knows. It's on my list
though.

Gonna buy this for sure, cause I only own Analord04 on
vinyl.

Got 'em all on vinyl, but don't have my record player here
with me.
Thus: not sure whether to buy it or not.
If it had Where's Yr Girlfriend?, I'm Self-Employed and Home
Made Polysynth then I definitely would. As it is, I'll see
how I am for cash.

And there was me holding out for the whole lot on CD. Fool
that I am.

Snivel Chew turned out to be my favourite Analord track of
them all.

Chosen Lords was always going to disappoint some people but
not me because I am having decks fitted in the boot of my
car when I get it just so I can pull up on the motorway and
spin them as they were meant to be heard.

At school, we're doing a Newspaper In A Day thing on Friday.
I'm music reviewer, and I felt that it's my duty to review
this:

It’s nice to see that Rephlex have decided to release
this compilation. This release, out mid-April, compiles the
“best” of Richard James’ recent Analord vinyl
collection on CD.
Also, there’s a bonus for the Aphex fans who have already
bought the vinyls (which is pretty much all of them who have
been willing to spend around £55 on the eleven vinyl
releases, and an extra £40 if they managed to catch the
ultra-rare leather binder from Warp (which is currently
being auctioned for over £100 on the notorious eBay and is
being used for the main cover of the compilation). It is
rumoured by Boomkat, a specialist alternative to Amazon,
that James has spent time remixing each track featured on
the compilation, making the tracks sharper and leaner. But,
unfortunately, this may be just another of the many Aphex
rumours spread on the internet.
However, as the current playlist shows, things are looking
dim for the compilation. Nothing from first, second, eighth
and eleventh releases has been included in the 10 tracks,
which is also a strange number of tracks to work with,
seeing as there are eleven Analord vinyls. Both the fifth
and tenth releases are featured in their entirety, while the
addictive bassline- that is VBS.Redlof.D and the Italo-disco
feel of from the eighth release are missed out for Pitcard
and Reunion 2 are included, two tracks which I don’t feel
are highlights of the Analord collection at all!

I'm half way through.

Why do you say the leather binder's from Warp, is that
journalistic license?

I think it's a great compilation already (made it from the
mp3's to hear how they fit together).
I'm not much fond of vinyl-releases, so i'm happy that
there's a "short version" of the whole Analord thing. Though
I one day will buy the Analords all together, i'm pretty
glad that this compilation is on it's way. I not much for
the mp3-rips of vinyl in general.

i think the boomkat samples do sound a bit leaner actually,
and i havent heard the song in the 3rd sample yet!? dunno
how i missed that.

they also seem to hint at Chosen Lords II at the end.. could
they know something we dont?

i think the review is pretty bad, for aphex fans and non
aphex listeners alike
it emulates a review and their lingo's while actually saying
like 50 % less than there are words
for instance: "the notorious ebay", a completely useless
statement said like that and there shouldn't be a 'the'
