because food production is a numerical sequence. (at best)

and people production is a geometric sequence.

I am because I'm against most things that end with -ist or
-ism. I believe in a nice balanced system.

The anti captalist philosophy is fundamentally flawed in
that people are on the whole greedy. If people in under
developed countrys were paid a comparitive wage to developed
countries workers, the price of consumables would be to
expencive for most people in the developed world.

For example: The amount of man hours it takes to make a pair
of Nike running shoes would make them ten times more
expencive if the Korean workers recieved the American
minimum wage.

This is wrong but most people want to have these things as
cheaply as possable. I don't think it will ever change.

010101: People from underdeveloped countries don't need as
much money because everything is much cheaper there. What we
do need to consider is not to completely rip them off(IMHO).

That is why Marxist philosophy, even though absolutly
brilliant, will never work.

If I am a Doctor I would think that my work is worth more
than a McDonalds server, so Mr. Doctor gets more money.

Laserbeak things are cheaper because they are subsidised by
goverments that are in debt to the developed world.

DROP THE DEBT

right on 010101

i dont think people realize just how greedy they are...
even 'poor' people in canada have a higher standard of
living than most

the top 20 percent of the worlds population consume 86% of
the resources!!!!!
the bottom fifth? ....less than one%

and we congratulate companies who give a whopping 1 % of
thier profits to some sort of charity... like the ballet
foundation!
(i saw some award like that @ my dads office once)
you could be living on 1/86th of what ur living on now!

my god.. if everyone in NA gave a couple percent of their
anual income to help developing countries.. it would make a
HUGE difference to the poorest people, while we would hardly
notice

but no, we groan over haveing to spend "our" tax dollars on
even helping the homeless here...

im not kidding... people think talking about it makes them
some sort of morally superior person, some sort of activist,
but no
we should all be ashamed of ourselves
im not kidding

holy shit, we even have money to spend on CDs/vinyl!

when it actually comes CLOSE to affecting you, you dole out

but even if its some guy on the street in ur own city... its
seperated enough from ur life that u dont care

I don't have to do ANYTHING, and I get whatever I want. I
don't even have to dig through garbage, and walk around in
rags, and piss in a pot, and labour when I'm 6. You've got a
computer, you're god damn lucky. Count your blessings, this
capitalism has made your life damn good.

It would take approximately 4 earths to provide the
resources needed for everyone on the planet to enjoy the
same standard of living as the average North American. So
unless we can find 3 more planets identical to earth we
would have to seriously decrease our standards of living.
Getting someone to give a couple bucks to a charity is hard
enough but try to get them to reduce the amount the consume.

we cant send money to 3rd world countries... cos governments
tax it + add it to the debts.... or something!!

We cant even send them out surplus grain, cos that would
upset the poxy TRADE balance!!

I'm not anti-capitalism no... I'm anti communism, and I
don't know a better way to run an economy so capitalism it
is for me... Capitalism ensures that you have to work for
what you get... sure lots of people are being taken
advantage of in this world, and I'm obviously against that,
but I'm all for the Drop the Debt thing that Bono is
involved with... I think 1st world countries need to give
the poor countries a chance to get in the game, and then
it's up to them... we need to make things equal... like I
said, I'm not an economist, so I don't have a better way to
run an economy then capitalism, but I do think we need
changes...

well..though i dont agree with all the things that come out
of capitalism..all these people who protest it are usually
in the position of benefitting from it themselves...and also
dont provide an alternative to it...they've tried
communism...and it didnt work..for the same reason
capitalism doesnt work...
so i cant really call myself 'anti-capitalist' ..when i dont
have any suggestions for what else can be done...

i guess i could be called 'anti-greed' since that seems to
be where most of the worlds problems stem from

so if we just got rid of greed...then most of the worlds
problems could be solved...and we could then focus on the
other problems..that arent a product of greed..

..i dont see that ever happening though, sadly enough

I dont really give a shit about anti-capatalism, because in
our world today, hardly can 1 person make a difference. YOU
NEED MONEY.

Anyways, I dont need to get into a large debate about this,
beacuse I can go for hours.

Nacmat::. why did you post that? Its sorta scary.

astar::. think about it for a second. most of us know what
capatalism is, but true capatalism does not co-exist with a
monopoly[s], which pretty much run North America, if not the
world infact.

Capatalism started with men trading other men for cows,
wheat, grains and other goods. Its not fair when 1 farm sets
up shop for the purpose of doing so and buys out everyone
else, but hey so what if some crops and people die because
of it in the process right? Thats capatalism. No - thats
bullshit. It wont change though.

Aminal::. yes.... but most of the time once you play the
system you become a part of it.
