i love the japanese bonus track and the second track on
album is very nice, always skip everything else as it bores
me to death.

TCH is really good. I think most people know this, but some
are still caught up with this 'boo hoo, it's not like the
old BOC stuff' idea.

If it came out and wasn't by BOC, but by a psuedoname,
people would like it and say it is good, kinda like BOC a
bit only with guitars, cool! etc

I think its a good album, and I'm glad they are trying
different things. I bet if they realeased a clone of MHTRTC
a lot of people would moan that they are being boring and
haven't evolved at all.

Some people shouldn't have such razor-thin taste or high
expectations, I'm sure people will appreciate it in time.
I'm just as bad though, first time I heard ultravisitor I
thought it was poo, but now of course I think it is great.

TCH seems like their mellowest album...i didn't think that
was even possible. i await some more energetic sounds from
them.

listened to it last night and today while cleaning the

A coincidental thing was this question was asked today on
some other messageboard. their answers were..

BoC - campfire headphase

hay-ron   [21.01.06, 01:44:29, IP: *.104.249]

this release seems to have died off hype-wise pretty
quickly

just wondering what peeps were thinking after a few more
listens?

listening right now myself, really liking it

01. on sale at boomkat
5£ or so

02. *zzzzzzzzzzzzz*

03. I like it.

04. liked on my first few listens, quickly lost interest
after that. there are a couple of decent songs but for BoC
it's by far their dullest work.

05. yeah, it is different

06. must admit i like geogaddi better

07. I agree... It was nice straight away, but got boring
very quickly. Haven't listened to it in ages.

08. Every BoC release is tops, but I think this may be my
fave. The last four tracks.. wow.

09. dunno, sounds a bit off tune to me...

10. still think it's baws.

11. Not digging this at all.
Soulless twaddle, music to fall asleep to at best.

12. definitely their weakest stuff.

13. the drums throughout the album are it's biggest
disappointment. BOC do great drums normally too.

14. those violin string sounds in Dayvan Cowboy ruin an
otherwise great tune. why didnt they use the good old wobbly
out of tune synth?

right. there's not much talk about it here either it seems.
just not that good to talk about i suppose. you still see
analord and untilted threads coming up though and they were
released quite a while back :)

with a few nice tunes (very few)

I like it, though it's not the BOC we know and love, I was
playing it today, it's a sunny album, it's like an
alternative Boards in parallel to the usual fare. I know a
lot of people have their reservations, but I still feel the
album creates its own ... sound, universe, whatever, and
it's a pleasant place to visit.

My sister gave me a copy of this today. I'm listening to it
now! It is so good.

It reminds me of when I use to live by the beach. I would go
there with my sister and spend the whole day and night.

The beach would glow in the dark of the night while fish
washed ashore and old china women would picked them up and
put them in baskets made out of woven tree branches.

When the water pulled back out to sea, it felt like it was
pulling me too.

I'm listening to dayvan cowboy now! It's so mysterious.

it isn't great, except for 'oscar see through red eye' which
is easily on par with their previous works of art, from any
album. It's also the single one track that has real feeling
of sadness and nostalgia, as opposed to all the other happy
dreamy carefree guitary pling plong tunes with predictable
and uninspired beats, melodies and all the rest.

For some extremely odd reason very few other people seem to
notice this.

Oscar see through red eye is so good, it's worth buying the
album for. BoC were probably aware of this. *sigh*

i still think its an amazing piece of music, so detailed an
accurated, with a deep sense of space and stereo image,
soulfilling melodies, and excellent textures.

nacmat : do you still have the same opinion about this
album?

hasn't quite stood the test of time for me.

normally, im into a release flatout for months. it was the
case with tch for a while, but then i just stopped
listening

i still listen to all the older boc stuff greatly, but tch
just sounds too damn ...i dont know, clean? not sure,

it doesn't spawn many memories from the back of my head like
their other stuff has; i think that's the reason i'm not
listening to it as much ... but then again, springtime is
here and summer is just around hte corner; could be that
time to break it back out.

Trans Canada Highway.
In fact, I love TCH more than the album itself. Heard from

fucking awesome!

Don't listen to it much now, been too busy discovering new
artists. But I think this will be great for the summer.
Ofcourse, when it comes to summer days, nostalgic breeze,
and all that perpetual smile shit, nothing, and i mean
nothing holds a candle to ochre's magnificant lemodie.
