And while we're doing the assumptions thing, I assume you
are just some troll looking for attention as you don't want
to talk about this by email like I asked you to.

Are you not going to email me?

offline ziggy2 from cumbria (United Kingdom) on 2005-12-20 14:08 [#01804009]

answer this: basically what you want to happen is this: the
seller
out the item, money, shipping, ebay fees, etc. where do you

see any ethics in that?

offline clint from Silencio... (United Kingdom) on 2005-12-20 14:16 [#01804014]
Points: 3447 Status: Lurker | Followup to ziggy2: #01804009

So, no, you're not going to email me.

How is he losing out on the item? Its insured, he'll get the
cheque through.

If I don't follow this through, he's taking a $10 profit on
money that I'm losing out on. Do you see any ethics in a
seller not refunding the profit he makes? You think its fair
I lose out and still have to line the pockets of the buyer?

offline ziggy2 from cumbria (United Kingdom) on 2005-12-20 14:20 [#01804015]
Points: 35 Status: Addict

how are you so sure the insurance would be approved? what
happens if its found out that your neighbor took it, a
family member? how do you know he made profit on the
shipping? do you know all of his costs involved?

i dont want to email you. you already don't like me because
i dont agree with you. i can see me getting spammed or
finding a way to rip me off.

Oh stop being so paranoid. I just don't want to discuss it
here. I've never spammed or done anything of the sort. I'm
just hurt at the level of contempt you are throwing my way.
I want you to email because the mods will close this soon
because, quite frankly, its totally not something to be
discussed on the board.

The package arrived empty and sealed. I have no interest in
whether the insurance is approved - how is that my
responsibility? The item was missing, I presume the
insurance will find that. If a neighbour took it, then the
neighbour stole it.

You expect me to sympathise with the seller if the insurance
isn't approved? I would only feel guilty if I acually had
received the item, and am lying, which you seem to believe
anyway.

Ziggy, what electronic music are you into?

offline ziggy2 from cumbria (United Kingdom) on 2005-12-20 14:41 [#01804029]

you got ripped off by someone OTHER than the seller, so it
makes it okay to rip off the seller to make up for it? I
hope the seller does everything in his power to make sure
you pay the consequences for your fraudulent activity.

Look at like this.

If you ordered something from Amazon and the package arrived
empty would you expect a refund from Amazon?

Yes you would. This is the exact same situation. Just
because this is eBay the rules of commerce don't fucking
change.

offline ziggy2 from cumbria (United Kingdom) on 2005-12-20 14:48 [#01804037]
Points: 35 Status: Addict

im not saying it does. amazon would make you file an
insurance claim. clint is going around that, and taking
advantage of the system.

im just getting into electronic music a bit. i heard of this
place from the hive fest in liverpool last month. ive been
lurking, but just decided to post after reading this point.

how could anyone not like you ziggy? your strident, one
note antics have really livened up this joint. maybe you
should apply your self to a few of the other threads around
here. what's your take on the grinning ape, for example?

offline clint from Silencio... (United Kingdom) on 2005-12-20 14:52 [#01804046]
Points: 3447 Status: Lurker

Haha, no they wouldn't. Get a grip mate. Any other online
order firm and they would be right on to refund you. Amazon
make you wait 4 months then dont refund the P&P? Give me a
break.

Items have been lost in the post before (warpmart being an
example) and they have sent it again straight away. If
anything, I'm being too lenient on the seller. What Giginger
says sums it up.

So what artists do you like?

I know a girl who gave a blowjob for 50p. She has a cracking
pair of tits too. I bet for another 10p she'd let you blast
all over them.

if you want to compare ebay to retail stores, then i guess
you should start expecting retail prices. there is a reason
why retail prices are much higher than whats on ebay.

Own up, are you from the UK? You really interested in IDM?
Know what it stands for? Know who the main artist is this

your opinions matter more?

I don't care how much you know, I'm just trying to guage
whether you actually are interested in the stuff this site
represents, or whether you had other motivation to join.

You clearly don't want me to know your email address and
thats wierd. You say you were born in 61 - thats wierd. You
say you are female, thats slightly wierd for here. You
joined at 5.01 AM, thats wierd.

You see why I've got suspicions?

while youre at it tell me your shoe size, car you drive,
what you ate for breakfast and how many times a week you
spank it to queen elizabeth. i dont see where this is going.
im not a troll, just offered opinions on something that

I live in Solihull my postcode is B92 7RF, I'm into Autechre
AFX (lovin analord), M83 quite nice also, Venetian Snares is
grand but has gone off a bit since Winter in the Belly of a
Snake, Kraftwerk and Brian Eno laid the foundations for a
large portion of today's scene, my shoe size is 9, I don't
drive a car, I ate cereal, I spank Queen Liz at least twice
a week.

So your turn.
