recommend good ones!

Adblock (blocks ads)
All-In-One-Gestures (Mouse gestures)
Tabbrowser preferences (manages tabbed browsing more easily
IE View (adds a right-click option to open the page
in IE. Good for web developing and "IE only pages")
Dictionary Search (good if you're a non-native english speaker.
of course, you can also specify other dictionaries for quick
access)
Gtranslate (adds a google translate thingie to right
click)
HTML Validator (good for developers. shows an icon in the
lower right corner of the window, indicating if the page
validates or not)
Dictionary Tooltip (another dictionary thingie, but this one you
won't have to open in a new tab)

until i removed adblock. a friend had the same problem. i
told him to uninstall adblock and reinstall flash 8, and it
worked.

I have that with wmv's when embedded sometimes.. it can
usually be fixed by quickly switching to a different tab and
then back again, though...

weird... I only have the flash players, but I haven't
noticed anything wrong there... you're talking about the
entire program for creating stuff, right?

weird.. I have no problems... have you updated all the
plugins? also, try checking if the languages match.. I've
had problems with that on other things that work together...
couldn't have one norwegian and one english...

Adblock is being a bit weird right now.

I would have it installed but it's just showing broken
images rather than removing the ads. I'd rather see ads than
the broken images thing.

I really only use adblock, Show IP and the web dev
extension.

But, a simple extension that would allow for draging a tab
out of the firefox window to create a new instance of
firefox would come in handy at times. Anyone know of a
simple one to do that?

hmm.. have the people using adblock also been using those
large generic lists of things to block? that may be the
problem, as they often offer blockage of things that could
possibly NOT be banners...

yeah, I know... I just wish it had a few more languages, but
the pure functionality of it thus far is awesome! Especially
that one doesn't NEED to open a new page, but can just get
the translation in the right click.

There is a really good one called stumble upon. you click
stumble and it takes you to a random page. it lets you say
"I like it" or "Not for me" so it can learn what you like
and dislike.

So now you can click stumble and it will more often than
not take you to an interesting page.

It stops you getting bogged down on the web and never
discovering new things, like the web used to be.

seriously, STUMBLE UPON is very good for going off on a
tangent when bored or need something other than the same 10
sites you cycle everyday.

what about opera? i have thought about converting
since it became freeware, aslo considering it's developed by
countrymen, but the fact that it doesn't support plugins
made me reject it.
