Being tidy I would like to have a few things in this thread
that probably don't merit a thread of their own.

First up: Google. I just can't reach it. If I ping it I get
"www.1.google.com", which just seems wrong. I then changed
my Hosts file to go to a Google IP number, and that worked
for a few days, but now it's gone to shit again. Any
suggestions?

Secondly, I have a Nokia 2600 phone and an 18 month old
child, put them together and suddenly I've got two, one
pixle wide lines on the the screen, one horizontal, the
other (you guessed it) vertical. About the postion of the
Golden Section. Either this is some Di Vinci Code or my
screen's rogered, is there any precedent for such a thing?

Thirdly, "Tears from the Compound Eye" - BOC, just
MAJESTIC.

Fourthly, I'm taking pre-orders for a Grinning Ape 7" (may
have found a vinyl presser what have you thing here en el
sur)

Fifthny, where's Earthleakage lately?

Sixtethly, feel free to add your own topic, that's right,
this one's on me, gratis!

It's going to be grey / gray vinyl.

And because it's going to be exclusive (on account of hardly
anyone buying it), it'll be dead expensive.

wikip-p-p-p-p: Gratis is an adjective in Latin and various
Romance and Germanic languages meaning free, in the sense
that one does not have to pay for some good or service (free
of charge).

hmm.. I figured it'd be latin, but I guess I though it,
outside of norway, was more connected to festivities.. as in
"it's the birthday of jesus, so you get things gratis," and
then there'd be some separate word for "free (no reason)"

I was obviously wrong, though.

I got some thougts to post here:

last days I bumped like 25 "discography threads", all aphex
releases, cos I was listening to them all.. (one by one of
course, I am not elusive)... yes I had one of these aphex
trips I like to have from time to time and I listened to all
my aphex music

the thing is that I was stranged how little discussion all
of them caused
actually most of hem have persisted un-answered after my
posts
I must make the conclusion that a massive wave of grey
threads is not really good for the messageboard... but its
curious, cos its all about the music...
I guess I learnt the lesson, right now I am starting such a
trip with squarepusher discography and I dont think I will
post in those threads... not in more than one or two... its
clear that people are not really interested in such
discussion

also I understand that it can be my fault... maybe what i
post doesnt really lead to any kind of discussion

I ve thought of these several times,a nd many times Id like
to add some thoughts, but my english just makes it hard and
I am too lazy... so I just stick to the casual "I love it"
or the such

thanks for the thread, so I can post this

also I think the space bar in my keyboard is a little fucked

yeah, that's a good point... i haven't read those grey
threads because i didn't really know much about those
releases, so i don't know exactly what you wrote, but how
many times will everyone keep going, "oh it's so good/bad"?
if you want a good discussion, you should try and pose a
question or share some sort of insight that will inspire a
conversation.

Yeah, Ive not decided WHICH tracks to press, but, let's say,
at this stage, one 7" single, four of the BEST Ape tracks.

As for Nackers / Nacmat... I do still like to talk about
Aphex, he is in my Top 5 of ALL TIME, still, ... but the
only time I'm moved to comment in one of those threads is
when someone dismisses a classic and says they prefer the
highly overrated Drukqs.

do you have a lot of caffiene (or otherwise take drugs)? if
so, you should think about limiting that and setting an
alarm clock. i used to have bad sleep habits, so i can
really relate to that. you just have to have
self-discipline if you're going to get back into a "normal"
routine. just keep waking up at the same time in the
morning for a week or so and you'll make it.
