If I was an insect and that man came towards me with that
contraption, I think I'd assume I was about to be
disintigrated or at least zapped into another dimension,
rather than simply have my photo taken.

perhaps a tiny sign, to be affixed to the end of the
aparatus, could help.

"Please do not be afraid. This is merely photographic
equipment."

and the insect could think "oh he just wants to take a
picture" and not be all scared about interdimensional
zapping shenanigans.

Is there a better track in the universe than jauqq?
Possibly, but goodnes me, that is MUSIC.

A really good post Plaid Black Dog thing is that
Live at the Black Lodge set from 1997, half of it's an extended
"Babylon" ambient type meander, very nice, and then some
classics thrown in.
