I failed...

god fucking dammit. I failed my graphical design class.
(second year)
I can accept a task and work on it in the summer and then
present it at the end of the summer and if that's ok I can
go to the next year. but the succes rates of those summer
tasks are very small.
but I'm gonna do it anyway....
the thing is that it's totally not fair that they failed me
(imo).
they let students go to the next year that are faaar faaaar
faaaar worse then me. but they go because they kiss the
teachers ass.
it's such a fucking load of crap these art schools. i
fucking deserve to go to the fucking next
year.aaaaaaaaaaaargh. this fucking world hates me. last year
the exact same thing happend. but I succeeded at the
summertask. but now the chanced are very small....seriously,
i honestly don't think I deserve this if I look at the
people that passed this year.

What is your summer assaignment perhaps we can help. It
could be the xltronic summer graphics project. I have been
doing graphic design for the past 7 or so years so I can
input a little I think.

don't worry i have faith in you, arselickers always get
their comupance anyway. Plus you don't really need
qualifications in art, aslong as you have talent.....

students in my school: they basically had their heads stuck
up their teachers arse; all during the year it was miss/mr i
luv u, what the best way to do this, i just can't do it
(when they know they can) etc. They'd get top marks in the
internal exams but when it came to the national exams most
of them did worse than expected. Thus they got their
comeuppance.

don't put the required level of work in, fail, and rather
than accept your own shortcomings you childishly seek to
deflect the negativity from yourself onto other people who
you don't think are as good as you. you really need
to grow up, and quickly, if you are going to acheive what
you have set out to accomplish. playing the victim doesn't
get you anywhere in life. don't worry about other people
just deal with yourself.

oh plz shut up, you don't know anything about what happend
throughout the year. If I feel that I didn't deserve to pass
this year I honestly would've accepted it.

oh btw I seem very angy in this thread but I'm not. I'm just
a little disapointed. I'm overreacting a bit. I will do the

benificial on the long run I guess.

ow hey, thanks for your help. :)
I have to go to school tomorow and get the assignment and
have a chat with my teacher. I'll know what it will be
tomorow.
they make these assignments always very big and somewhat
impossible to do so you won't participate. but I did last
year and I was one of the few that passed. the thing is that
I don't wanna do like graphical design but I wanna go in
advertising. you know, like making a movie to advertise a
product on tv. more conceptual in general and less working
with the pc. but I can only choose that in my third year.
and I really wanted to do that. and I also told them that.
but they wouldn't listen....the bastards....

i agree with that, actually. and why would you fail a
subject that you are passionate about? doesn't make sense.
if you enjoy design, you would naturally want to learn about
it and therefore you would easily pass.

In my experience at least, things one is passionate about
are "taught" in the stupidest way imaginable. I learned jack
shit from "biology" class in college; in fact the ammount I
learned is negative. I learned far more in a single page of
a richard dawkins book... a single sentence. And I won't
even mention art class.. or the 7 thousand dollars interest
accumulating dollars I was scammed out of.

yeah, that's often the case, but i was talking about the
context of, "i'm going to school to study x". i wouldn't
recommend going to school at all - that's beside the point.

i'm in a similar situation (art school as well). i will
probably fail, for the 2nd time, and i can blame myself for
everything.

i have these interesting ideas (so they tell me), but
executing them is too much work for me. i'm a lazy cunt.

i dont know what i'll do if i dont make it. i dont even want
to think about it..

I completely agree.

Sometimes, the way things are taught (and the bureaucracy
that goes on) can suck the joy or interest out of even the
most interesting things otherwise.
