Hi there!I'm a classically trained electronic songwriter
whi is trying to bring back good songwriting via
synthesizers.I believe that my songs are the best melodic
songs since the early retro stuff and wondered what you all
think of my 'Star in the City' song. It's actually doing very
well in the soundclick charts as it's now at no.4 in the sub
electronica and at no.66 in the normal electronica charts.
Cheers!
Richie S.

Thanks for that CS2x.
I'm trying to set up a modern day Depeche mode-style synth
band.I've got a singer who looks almost like Dave Gahan
himself!!
I just need as many people as possible behind that 'Star in
the City' song as possible.
I'd say it is like DM's 'New Life'.

"Star in the City"
(richard steed)

VERSE 1

In the city tonight,
with all colourful lights,
there's a star shining bright,
for people's delight.
From such a great height,
it's a jolly good site,
with different shades of white.

CHORUS

There's a star in the city,
where the air is still,
Can you hear the cheers from the crowd,
happiness and joy make up the atmosphere,
every colour in the spectrum shine all around.

VERSE 2

In the building below,
where everything's slow,
the stars fill each row,
to watch the great show.
The neon lights glow,
there's not long to go,
excitement starts to flow.

The film on the screen,
In the very first scene,
the tyrant has been,
he was evil and mean.
Some just stare at the Queen,
all because they're so keen,
looking very smart and clean.

CHORUS

There's a star in the city where the air is still,
Can you hear the cheers from the crowd,
happiness and joy make up the atmosphere,
every colour in the spectrum shine all around.
