It's quite amazing; a scheme to generate arbitrary hexadecimal digits of pi. Very exotic considering that the distribution of decimal digits in pi is uniform, and furthermore that many think pi may be completely random. I will look at it some day.. pi comes up all over the place.. pi^2 as well; for instance the density of squarefree numbers (meaning all numbers which have prime factorizations where every integer compenent has exponent zero or one--hence the name; they contain no squares (or higher)) is 6/(pi^2) seriously weird. |
