How did I do that? I got it from slsk. Furthermore, show me some statement by Autechre regarding sbds. Plus I'm sure Autechre fans would BUY a proper sounding live album instead of this lowly 128kbs mp3. For god's sake. Better this way than buying an mp3 sourced bootleg on ebay. |

So someone asked Autechre if they would record the show for him? Which they did? How did it get from him to slsk then? He must have done something wrong in the process. He shouldn't have given it away to anyone if he was going to be all precious about it. No recordings allowed for each show? Well then they better not see this thread which you participated in to great extent by the way. |

No soundboards I should say. The guy you got it from on slsk isn't the guy who did the recording. There were some careless people out there. It's ok though, I'll look forward to not seeing any more soundboards for a while ... a _long_ while. |

Seriously, it is weird that some fans can legitimately listen to soundboard recordings and it seems to be a crime if others do the same thing. If you like to hoard, do it well. Autechre should clarify their position on sbds somewhere for all to see (eg in this very thread), like many bands have (ok not in this thread). Personally, I haven't seen such a statement. Show it to me and I shall bow my head in eternal shame. Once again, I got it from slsk and the person I got it from got it from someone quite well known in this little scene that we have here. Furthermore, I doubt this thread enjoys much exposure even in this community. I could've made a humongous topic such as OMG here it is man, the AUTEcHRE SOUNdboard!1 There is a small group of people actually interested in this and that's that. |

I would like to say this though; I take offense at being referred to as a hoarder. I wasn't the original source of the recording but I did receive it a while ago. If you look through various threads you'll see that I've linked at least 2 ae show bootlegs that I have on my webspace. Both are hefty sized files and take a lot of bandwidth. I saw very little thanks for this and actually took a lot of shit because I said I wouldn't be sharing the soundboard recording. Some people did say thank you though, funnily enough these were not the people bitching..... Despite giving a valid reason there was still people taking every oppurtunity to say it was wrong to not share the recording. The attitude of certain people actually made me unwilling to share the recording too. They couldn't accept the reason being give for it not being shared on a mass scale and refused to let the matter go. So, even though I'm glad the recording is "out" as it were it's a shame that some people acted like utter cunts towards those who had it earlier. Just my thoughts on the matter and something I felt needed to be said. |

I agree with you completely. I was referring to the original taper, and did not mean any offense to anyone. The original taper should've taken more care if he didn't want this thing out. And btw, as Elusive also mentioned, the recording had been out for at least a while. On your other points: to beg a taper to release his recording (sbd or aud) is ridiculous and I don't want to name names but gl0tch get a fucking grip. Search for stuff you want or (even better) tape it yourself. Don't go asking for it. I typed in Autechre glasgow on my slsk wishlist thingy and tadaa! there it was the next morning. |
