If the third one isn't for children, why is the first one
only for infants?

I am glad they didn't make the same mistake they did with
the first one and overmerchandised. I thought Darth Maul was
a crap baddie because I had seen his image too much before I
saw the movie. Darth Maul would have been a great surprise
otherwise.

I read somewhere that he had to force himself to write on a
prescheduled daily basis to get the story going.

Promising.

I thought Episodes 1&2 were pretty horrible.

If they didn't provide depth to a story that I was
interested in (meaning, if they weren't starwars films) they
would've had almost no redeeming qualities at all.

And, believe me, I was looking forward to them as much as
any sane nerd. But, they were a let down on almost every
level you can judge a film.

But, I'm still naive enough to have a little hope I suppose.

seeing yoda in a battle was enough to make episode II
worthwile for me.

i always invisioned yoda fighting more with the force than
with crazy acrobatics (although, i guess his aerobics were
probably heavilly force-influenced).

i mean, i figured if you tried to take on yoda you would
have a meditating little green dude sitting budda-style in
the floor as his light saber spun around him and kicked your
ass... or, he'd use the force to throw you around like a rag
doll, or just disarm you or something.

i thought it was dumb to have him flipping around like a
spry 18 jedi knight when his powers should be beyond that...
not to mention the fact that he limps around and acts like
an 800 year old who is knocking on death's door for the
entirety of the five films we had seen up to that point.

haha, yeah.

there's something about a jedi that involves showing off
your light sabre skillz. this involves jumping off walls and
acting like a crazed acrobat on speed. yoda is just
preserving his energy.

...well, i was somewhat disappointed.

i mean, it was hype and all, but i just think it could've
been cooler.

it could have been way cooler. it could have had a story
line. it could not have been extremely lame. however, ILM
make it look really COOL. i'm paying them when i go see the
movie, not george "sell out" lucas.

one of Serafinowicz' lines in "spaced" (I think in the
drinking episode in the second series) is an exact replica
of one of his Darth Maul lines. :)
