the winamp plugin for audioscrobbler is fucking retarded.

LAZY_TITLE

i can tell you i play a /lot/ more shit than that; appears
it ONLY Reads ID tags (and a lot of my mp3's don't have
tags), and it chokes on a lot of non-alphanumerical
characters.

anybody else use a different media player than winamp (on
windows), or know of a different plugin?

there's a plug-in for nearly all media players, check the
homepage

ripped a large amount of cd's at one stage before id3v2
became well supported without id tags because song names or
whatever were too long. if you name your mp3's well, you
really don't /need/ mp3 tags, anyway.

also have a bunch of mp3's from various other places without
tags.

i'd like to go on a big renaming spree but i'm yet to find a
program that doesn't choke or fuck up on my collection; i
have all sorts of naming schemes (>300G of mp3, from many
various sources over the last 5 or so years).

it's not just that, either - the plugin doesn't appear to
report a lot of my songs that /do/ have tags, too.

it reckons i listen to QOTSA a lot; i rarely do.

i understand that, but what i mean is if the winamp plugin
is this buggy than the others are probably going to be even
buggier.

wondering if others here that have non-tagged mp3's or
whatever have better luck with another app or plugin.
