you're new here so we'll forgive it this time, but for
proper grammar your title should have been "[LIST] My AFX

Taffmonster

I copied this from one of the documents i have

All You Wanted To Know About The Universal Indicator Series
But Were Afraid To Ask...
Universal Indicator Series.
Written December 2000. Updated March 2001.

Aside from Rephlex CAT.002 (2x 7”), the Universal
Indicator series has been the subject of much discussion by
Aphex trainspotters since the first 12”’s appeared.

To cut to the chase, much of the material is without doubt
Mike Dred aka the Kozmik Kommando. He is credited with the
work on the Blue TB-303 12” (In the etchings) and one of
the tracks appears on the later CAT.010 KK compilation
“Freaquenseize”, but this time titled
(“Thoughts.of.you”).

MC-202 (Yellow in the UI series) is 100% Dred material. The
rumour suggesting that each of SH-101 records was created by
a different artist can fairly quickly be quoshed ; most of
it is Kozmik Kommando.

The Red, Blue and Green EP’s production assistance and
(possible) contributions by persons other than Dred, are of
more significance. It is near-definite that Richard James
(aka Aphex Twin) helped produce much of the UI series, and
the suggestion of RDJ throwing in ideas or sounds himself is
not unreasonable.

Where the UI myth does start to get complicated, is with the
rumours of tracks by Grant Wilson-Claridge (Rephlex
co-founder with RDJ) and the nowhere-else-mentioned Martin
Tressider. However, just recently a source very close to
Rephlex has confirmed that neither Grant or Tressider were
involved. One interesting (but previously confusing) fact is
that Grant did at one time own much of the entire classic
Roland x0x series (SH-101, MC-202, TB-303, TR-606, TR-808
etc..). It’s also known he regularly lent out bits of this
to other artists.

The other point of note is that these (TR-606 and TB-303)
were quite probably the first ever Rephlex releases –
especially due to the more “down to earth” production
quality on the records (eg: hand-stamping the sleeves). They
quite probably predate CAT.001 (Brad Stryder, aka RDJ) due
to productio

n quality, too – ultimately this is unconfirmed, though
the 606 run-out etchings do mention 1989!

Any comments/corrections, please pass them on to Joyrex.

Serious anal-oring a foot here i see. Well done. I need the
all the Q Chastic tracks, the Soit PP tracks.. And the Green
Universal Indicator ones, whoever did them.. And the trck
from Planet Mu compliation. That's about it i think. When I
finally get OSX 10.3, and therefore slsl, thats hould be
sorted..

On vinyl i need all of those, the first issue of AB1.. AB5,
ABX, The Come To Daddy 2x12 promo.. And several pieces of
candy... I think that's all..

I just had a great idea!

Why dont xltroniv start up a dc++ hub where all can gather
and share =) Or someone else, with electronic music as main
theme! ;) That would be great!!! Ive never found a hub like
that...

slsk was like that till audiogalaxy closed then the fukers
migrated! there was a purely electronica server

a hub? like a dc++ hub? i think that's a good idea. the
transfer via slsk are always slow, even though both parts
have fast connections. dc++ is much better in that way.

yeah, and rules negociated *Spelling, please correct*, like
only 1 hub allowed and slots open/connection, ex adsl
0,5/2slots.

Rules will have to be decided later, we need a host for the
hub first! =)

I still haven't heard either Hangable Auto Bulbs, Analogue
Bubblebaths 1,2,4,5 (unless AB1 is just the one track?) UI
Green, Red (except didn't that article say he didn't do any
of them anyway?), Brad Strider and most stuff under funny
names besides Gak/Caustic Window and probably everything on
EPs that isn't on some other release.

It might, the main problem is that my network blocks all the
funports for filesharing but there is an internal DC++ hub
that works so an external one might.
