Team Doyobi will do a set on XLT radio, we've just
discussed the possibilities and will sort out details within
the next few days....

actually you can ban me from the xltradio if you want, ive
never listened to a single thing on the xltradio anyway.

its not that i dont want to, but i can only access a
computer and this board when i am at work, and its one thing
to sneak onto this site but my boss is gonna notice if i
plug headphones in and bang tunes out for hours

well saying "it sucked" isn't very constructive in the
advance of getting more of these live shows.

you could just say you didn't fully enjoy it,

"it sucked"

bah, any 6 yr old can say that

sure, i agree, more detailed/constructive critisism would
have been nice, but if people can get banned for saying
something like that, jesus i'm worried. this is a place
where i'd like to express my opinions openly, and i'm sure
others feel the same.

i don't agree with him, by the way, but i'm bloody concerned
if that's a bannable offense.

oh, good :)

i've just seen /way/ too many online communities over the
years where the administrators, on getting a few extra
goodies from whomever the board is representing (i.e.
perfectly fitting what's happening here) go all nazi on most
members and everything slowly goes to shit.

i like xlt the way it is now, dammit :)

why is it war between xlt and watmm?

offline Phobiazero from the next Xltronic (Sweden) on 2005-02-22 08:32 [#01507607]
Points: 10507 Status: Webmaster | Followup to xf: #01507582 | Show recordbag

but in a serious manner.... comments like that COULD be
enough to piss artists off - believe me... they are quite
excited about doing radioshows here, but if they read the
initial announcement (this very thread) and find post #6
here being a totally stupid comment about their music..
well, imagine what could happen.

for gods sake, you have been spoiled with autechre and lfo
LIVE on xlt radio and many more established artists coming
up.... so please be a little bit careful about it or else a
good thing could be spoiled. :)

it's like rings on water, the xltradio "rumour" is spreading
among the artists and they are giving each other
tips/suggestions and that's how it works.

no idea about the war (watmm has never interested me enough
to join), but the community here seems /way/ more
intelligent.

as i've theorised before though, might be due to the visual
layout; perhaps i associate terrible forums with the way
they look, or something.

oh, of course, but you're always going to get a few people
who think it isn't quite their thing and will be quite happy
to voice that. trying to stick a sock in their mouth
doesn't help the matter; in fact, quite the reverse,
usually.

seeing an overwhelming positive response tends to neutralise
such comments, anyway :-)

& considering how prominent they are in the industry, i'd
imagine they'd be used to such comments, anyway; bound to
happen no matter how good you are (arguably moreso if you
are great).

i went on as 'the internet inspector' and critisized
everyone elses posts, saying stuff like 'this is not what
the internet was for' and 'stop talking about drugs this is
a family board'...but i am surprised they banned me so
quickly :)

Well done for getting another show together, Ae was an epic,
Francis Ford Copplla scale mix, the LFO one was fucking
fantastic, I've had that on a few times, I still can't get
over the bit with B12 in. Please try and let us know in
advance when this is next one is on.

And ladies, don't turn this thread into a debate about
"freedom of speech" or WATMM bashing because it really is
shit.

IMO TD is one of the best band around //any style//, i like
how their trx grows & changes & elvoles, their stuff are
pretty complex, still wild :: for i, its like classical
music for amigas, nintendos >>> not just loops, the trx
starts, goes somewhere, then somewhere else, with propers
endings)::

Fuck me!

Phob, change your name to Willy Wonka my friend.

That made sense in my head originally but I'm sure it's
actually a crap joke in the end. But, the point remains.
These radio shows are awesome. The first two have been
classics and I've no doubt Team Doyobi will pull off
something fantastic as well.

I'll attempt to record this one as well.

Any word on a tracklist for the LFO one yet?
