DJ'ed at the weekend

and the house I was doing it at had a dancing pole
installed so I got to play tunes that I wanted while some
hot women gyrated on a pole. It was so damn sweet. They
jiggled to the Caustic Window version of Popcorn and I
couldn't help but wish I had a video camera with me at that
moment. Oh baby.

How was everyone elses weekend?

my self esteem just hit rock bottom. And not because no one
in this town wants me to DJ.

What I can remember playing:

Squarepusher - My Red Hot Car
into
Betty Boo - Where are you baby
into
The Sex Pistols - god Save the Queen
into
Prodigy - Smack my Bitch up
into
Leftfield - Phat Planet
into
Blondie - Atomic

then it all becomes a blur but I'm sure I played

Caustic Window - Popcorn
AFX - 120bpm
LFO - Freak
West Street Mob - Breakdance Electric Boogie
The 45 King - The 900 Number
Vitalic - La Rock
The Human League - You've lost that loving feeling
S'Express - S'Express
into
Black Box - Ride on Time

I wish I'd recorded it.

I was only DJ'ing because it was a mates housewarming. I
didn't get paid for this. I couldn't get a gig otherwise :P
I'm sorry about your self esteem weatheredstoner.

Ha ha, sounds like a blast. My weekend was mediocre.

A new bit for my motorbike arrived, but I didn't have time
to fit it, thankfully, with a mates friend I managed to undo
a bit that had seized up.

Riding to Wales was no fun due to gale force winds and the
worse visibility I have ever experienced (aside from being
on a mountain top in fog).

Didn't really get up to much, saw my girlfriend, watched
"The Luzhin Defense" and "Secretary". Listened to DIV's
"Satan's Circus" for the first time. It's a bit
disappointing- sounds like a rather primitive record, sort
of like a young Flooper with potential, rather than the band
that gave us Diving Horses, Hands Around my Throat, Aisha,
Death Threat, etc. Finished reading HST's Kingdom of Fear.
Good book, I recommend it.

nice one ginge...

i drank loads this weekend which was unusual for me and i'm
feeling it now.

i also found out that a mate of mine, with a bit of clout,
has been in touch with Autechre's agent to get them to
dublin in april/may which means backstage passes for me if
the deal comes off. [best news all year]

nice set... how was the mixing?

get over here". Drank until 12:49am because i was unable to
continue.

Total drank: 2 bottles of Jack and 36 beers between my and a
friend. UG!

That is indeed some top fucking news mate. You may be able
to swing a top quality bootleg of the event if your lick
goes that little but further. BAM!

nice set... how was the mixing?

I'm proud to say I only fucked up a couple of mixes but the
rest were fucking smooth. :D

x rays and a look.
and another 250 - 350$ to pull the fucker out
this of course is without any insurance
said that he would need half of the money right away and the
rest within three months.

Just fitted it this lunchtime. Looks mint and should help
keep it clean. Just going to loctite it into place tonight.

I'm shocked that you didn't just wheelie all the way

No wheelies, I went back to Wales on the bike yesterday for
Valentines day, came back here this morning. Getting some
serious use out of it now.

Yes, it wasn't to bad and Satan's Circus is growing on me.
