I have listened very carefully to all versions of this
so-called leak and I am convinced it's not the genuine
WARP180 because there are no darts references AT
ALL
. Not even a "Jockey" Wilson sample.

If it wasn't for the shitty, simplistic, overtly unfinished
sounding first track, I'd say this was real. Some of the
others are absolutely stunning, imho-and very AE sounding
(but also very fresh.)

feng shui.

the argument about it being 20 seconds of bine then 20
seconds of some other ae track doesnt prove its a fake, its
not unheard of for electronic artists to reuse sounds

has anyone heard of the ripping group that ripped it
before?

not saying its real just that you dont know. seems feasible
if the prefuse 73 album got leaked too. why doesnt someone
just email warp and ask them?

offline cx from Norway on 2005-02-15 06:34 [#01499634]
Points: 4537 Status: Regular

panda, i didn't ask people to do 20 secs of bine then 20
secs of fermium to prove that they were using the old sounds
over again, i asked them because permium sounds like some 10
year old tapping about on a synthesizer while bine sounds
like ae.

when you realize the sounds and the quality is so vastly
different, you will laugh.

and also about this second leak being posted on watmm in
post 209.. im sorry but thats still not it.
its not deep enough still, nor complex or mind boggling
enough.
when we get the real thing we will all have a good laugh
from this thread im sure.

This why I really dislike Autechre from Confield onwards and
thier idiot fanboys, because the music to bullshit ratio is
way too far into the bullshit zone. It's all hype, their
records are unsatisfactory, CX is doing a one-man job of
descrediting this board and music in general and there
should be a stop put to all this before the Internet closes
out of shame.

I still stand by the second version - 63.49 And I encourage
you all to listen to this version from beginning to end,
before jumping to the "that couldn't be them bandwagon."

Cx - at first you didn't even bother to go and listen past
the first few bars of the newer version of LCC, before
judging its validity. Then you looked like a douche, again.
It seems to me the only thing that could convince you of
the "advanceness" or "conceptualization at the next level"
of any new material, would be if they released it in
hologram, complete with alien encypted laser etched drum
programming that also held the secret of the universe and
made you levitate, literally. Dude, wake the eff up.
Seriously.

ey, anyone sharing the second version in soulseek?

well, IF this stuff turns out to be true, it has taken a
direction i didn't expect, but i think it's ok.
there are great moments throughout, it's just the mix that
fucks it up... but like i said, i think the overall sound
is still in development.

still, the abvious sample recycling irritates me, and the
melody
in fermium is just sooo annoying... then again, the melody
of eidetic casein also makes me sick most of the time...
thas is, when i'm not stoned like ayers rock.

O5- in version 2, gone are the cheap melodies, poor mixes,
recycling of old samples. In retrospect, the criticisms of
how legit version 1 was now make sense... esp. your
recognition of it economics of pairing the shortest songs
together on vinyl.

let it be known though, that all of those concerns DO NOT
apply to the second version. Its mixed, mastered, original,
and tiiiiight

As an addedum: when I mentioned it was taken down, it
actually says

"No posting links to MP3s that are not legal for download
please."

If this is a fake why would it be illegal to post it up
there?

Ok, I've got the 69:48 version mentioned above and upon
further listening wish to change my vote to "could be them,
but unmastered".

I take it this version isn't the same as the version 2 that
you're talking about gl0tch?

Oh duh on me when it comes to my reading comprehension; you
said that the shorter version was the one that you were
calling version 2.

offline gl0tch from www.gl0tch.com     on 2005-02-15 10:48 [#01499904]
Points: 2708 Status: Lurker

No definitely not.

-In version 2 LCC is the same length, and somewhat similar,
however mastered, mixed, and resolved. It makes sense now.
Its not sloopy and it actually fits in relation to the other
songs

-Pro Radii is the same in both versions, but EVERYTHING else
is completely different.

I listent to it, and I dont even have to entertain the
notion of it being Gantz_Graf reworks or anything. The
whole entire thing is completely different, cohesive, full,
NOT a demo, and everything I expected... jaw to the floor

"I've been listening to it again... (I'm saying this again)

and please Rob and Sean, for your next album, consider
lowering the volume of your drums and beats and let
everything else go forward in the mix. You sure seem to
like, with Draft and now Untilted, to showcase your
technical skills of drum machinery and all. But we're
missing everything behind. We're missing the "soul" in
those tracks"

DAM that was really on point!! I totally agree! those dam
drums are sooooo fucking high in the mix!! turn the volume
down on those drums....the kick is toooo high on every track
DRrrrrrrrrr THCIK THICK drrrrrrrrr THIVCK!!!! dam!

but its all good anyway, dope album, really nice, I will cop
it whoever made it.

how much volume to pump to the drums

in plain view

because obviously

look at you all

already getting pissy hot in the biscuit about this release

look at the facts

leak v1 is unmixed and unmastered
leak v2 is mixed and mastered
LCC v1 is sloppy as shit
LCC v2 resolved
leak v2 has entirely different track lengths
leak v2 was removed from WATMM for being "illegal"

its just foolish to say leak 1 is real when there is no
comparison between the two

Maybe it's AE leaking it themselves and they are just
releasing better and better versions of the same record and
in the end they will release the best versions on the actual
CD.
