"Chill out" is awesome, one of the first electronic albums i
ever bought. I saw a bill drummond exhibition a few months
back which was pretty good too.

Fun fact: i have 2 (two) copies of "doctorin' the tardis" on
Seven Inch Vinyl.

scuffed up to shit though.

Heh, no worries about cash, i picked them up for 20p each in
a charity shop bargain bin, as well as the fact that it's a
bloody terrible track anyway! Drop me a mail and i'll stick
one in the post if you like.

Hahaha, you bugger. I don't even know where the other one is
to be honest. I have a feeling i left at a mate's flat for
some reason, he's probably chucked it and used the sleeve
for roaching material by now.

This thread made me want to listen to tammy wynette. Odd.

They are also responsible for the awful "Star Treckin'", In
remorse they burned all the money from the single 1,000,000
pounds......

Yeah, under their "timelords" alias. It's an absolutely
atrocious piece of music, and was therefore a number 1 UK
hit in 1988.

They travel the world, in their ice-cream van, they voyage
to the bottom of time. They have been to the place where the
Mu Mu mate and the children still cry, mine's a 99.
Bring the beat back.

010101 is thinking of, of course, The Firm.

I love the KLF, if anyone is interested digging deeper into
their immense hidden history there's an ace FTP site
(details here) that has all the wonderful things like the
original "White Room" album demo (very different and a hint
of what could of been), the Waiting film, and all the weird
and wonderful early material and remixes. I have to say
though "Chill Out" is just one of the top 5 albums of all
time in any genre.

have you read 'bad wisdom'? it's difficult to know what to
say about it, other than essential.

That's the only book I ever read 4 times. The new one, The
Wild Highway is supposed to be out soon. Have you read any
of Mark Mannning's books like "Get your cock out" or "Fucked
by Rock". Pretty fucking essential as well, old boy.

Bill Drummond is an emminently readable writer. I had a
couple of the little books that made up a part of "45",
namely "From the shores of Lake Placid" about his days with
Echo & the Bunnymen, and "The writers and mavericks..."
something something, when he goes off to Cairo with his Ted
Hughe's book. He does have a finger on the pulse of not just
pop music but the wider picture, very interesting chap, a
bit of a visionary.

Seriously though i highly recommend the track "Fucked by
Rock" by Zodiac Mindwarp. If one's drunk, you'll believe
you're a god.
