I was just wondering if any of the bm's (not bowel movements; boardmembers) here have actually done acid and then listened to aphex twin. I've talked to a few people at a party last night who have tried it and the general concensus about it was that it was not a good idea. |

Aphex on acid is incredible. The Saw albums on shrooms is amazing. stoned can't compare. Try shrooms since acid is such a commitment. I remember listening to pancake lizard on acid. Best music I ever heard. |

I tried listening to aphex and telefon tel aviv on shrooms and it was too much for me, thats why I wonder if acid could make aphex turn you insane. |

i've never taken acid but aphex sounds amazing on shrooms. so do squarepusher and autechre. highly recomended :) |

i think the reason the music was too much for me at the time was because I was having a slightly bad trip and was also trying to fall asleep. I haven't written aphex twin on shrooms off completely, no sir. |

I've listened to aphex plenty of times on acid. I thought it was awesome! One thing that really was intense (in a good way) was walking along listening to Mt Saint Michel with headphones on. When the congo drums (no clue whether thats the type of drum... but for lack of a better term) come in and start bouncing around, left to right, it was so cool! Gave me the craziest vertigo. And I wouldnt love Bbydhyonchord so much if it werent for acid.. thats when I really discovered how great it is! I also love squarepusher on acid. But most of all, my music was the best! but... thats only cos I made it. Did you know that Mike and Rich expert knob twiddlers was made when Richard and Mike were tripping on acid and drunk? Makes me appreciate the album a lot more. |
