Hello,

I was wondering if rephlex delayed the release of analord.
And also why is the aphex twin name not on it but the logo
is.

Thanks in advance.

Hi this is my only account here, so if you could be so kind
as to answer my question as opposed to jump to conclusions i
would greatly appreciate it.

Actually now that you mention it, i recall seeing their
entire archieve on Legal torrents. I failed to pick it up
due to its sheer size and my desperate need for a bigger HD.

Excuse the error i thought i had this post directed in
another thread. Must have mistakenly pressed "back".

I am a huge fan of the Mike and Rich series. So you could
guess where my name came from.

Rephlex has delayed the release because investors are not
willing to put the money forward for a vinyl only release
yet.

Aphex has gone the way of Prince where he owns his logo but
not the name so from now on he will simply known as *draws
the shape in the air*

God bless you b7 one

So then you are refering to an idea perhaps that they would
press a CD as opposed to an entire series?

Also no offense but what is all this B7 talk. I am aware of
what it means as i have frequented other boards in my time.
You guys dont like newbies here? I thought the welcoming
would have been a bit more warm.

Thanks regardless.

I like newbies, its just that we're all on edge, too many
people here pretend like its their first visit when its not.
Sorry, its all the weed we smoke that makes us paranoid.

B7 for all.

Jess (mu-ziqs wife) said in a planet-mu thread:

That's my pleasure buck, right Mike's seen & heard it &
it's all good to go, no news on a delay as far as he knows
so should be set for early nxt yr.
He also wants me to tell you the stuff on the net saying
it's this.......isn't.
Hope that helps :)

here is the thread

more specific.

i'm with you, tolstoyed

i'm a huge fan of aphex twin, i try and own every thing that
is possible to own by him and i love most of it...except
some tracks on ABB4 and ABB1.

Having this on vinyl and a mailing list seems to portray
that there is an exclusivity to the work, which is kinda
arsey i think. Vinyl is more expensive to press than CD and
to create a binder for it must also be costing quite a fair
bit. What harm is there on putting it on CD? It's not like
Richard is gonna loose his cool if he does one for the fans
every so often.

Although i'm talking like he owes me or something, the point
of my argument:

Be responsible this christmas

I'm very excited about this. Keep in mind if you don't have
a turntable, people who have turntables will end up ripping
them to mp3 as soon as its released. Of course, that would
be very illegal and bad. And nasty.

Moral of the story: get a turntable, save a life.

I think the ornate packaging has something to do with
piracy. I know the rephlex people do care about piracy. So,
they are placing lots of value on the package. It doesn't
matter how much it cost. They factor that into the price, if
they are half way good business men.

but afx has mentioned how he likes to do special packaging
and the big labels don't So, he could just be having fun. I
just wish he'd release more tracks. What a shame.

I hope analord 9 doesn't come out until 2097. That should be
enough time to process the first one.

I'm obviously making an absurd statement and using the word
"process" to illustrate one's attention span.
