vsnares is overrated: Go get

edIT - Crying Over Pros

and even better is: Lexaunculpt - The Blurring of Trees

Remember µ has samples of every release so you can
preview.

Phthalocyanine - 25 Tracks Fer 1 Track.

I quite enjoyed The Housebound Spirit by Leafcutter John. I
don't really label watch though so I dunno what's on what
recently.

the most worrying thing is that this so called idm labels
all release practically the same music, so that makes it
even more boring :)

the new amunition mix is great; compilations are a good
place to start.

decal's 404 not found is one of the most underappreciated
albums on the label imo; lately i'm enjoying mr76ix's 'hits
of mr76ix' a lot as well

the edIT and ambulance albums mentioned are great as well.

the edit is cool; also the criminal comp. is super cool,
especially bit meddler's genie in a bottle remix.

Maybe IDM should be changed to ARSE: Ambient Record Sound
Evolution

Or maybe not.

Joseph Nothing - Dreamland Idle Orchestra
Tim Tetlow - Beauty Walks A Razor's Edge

The two best records on Mu I've heard.

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2004-11-16 14:59 [#01397316]

The 'Julian Fane - special forces' album is alright. Seeing
as he used to post in here semi regularily (under Taoist
Blockade) I would suggest that.

I agree with Tango and Onecaseman:::

Tim Tetlow :: Beauty Walks a Razor's Edge

An all-time favorite.

Apparently he has another album ready for
Mu that should come out sometime soon.

Ah, almost forgot:::

Lexaunculpt :: The Blurring of Trees
edIT :: Crying Over Pros for No Reason

Excellent, excellent...

I absolutely love the Gasman tracks on the ammunition CD but
the album isnt as amazing. His techno stuff is a bit boring
but his ambient stuff is really raelly interesting.

instance WITBOAS)

the lexaunculpt album is a lovely fusion of
classical-influenced stuff and glitchy stuff. definitely
recommended.

hmmm, i may pick up that joseph nothing album later this
week.
