Was awesome. If your childhood did not involve "The BFG", "The Twits" or "Matilda", you must be dead inside.
My personal favourite was "The Minpins", his last book i think.

It's about a boy who discovers a civilisations of tiny people who live inside trees. Fantastic book, i have it as a "book on tape" thing with a dimitri shostakovich soundtrack as well, which is even better.
010101 -----> Yup, quentin blake is also a total geezer. I dunno if anyone here has seen his "short guide to railway safety" or whatever, but it was this public-information guide, with hilariously graphic illustrations, quite sick but very funny :D
Morton ------> I haven't read many of his short stories, but "switch bitch" is excellent. I'll check out the others, thanx and such.

Yeah, the BFG scared me quite a lot when i was younger. The image of giant men coming up the window and blowing dreams into your ears... there's something a wee bit creepy in that.

It was a bright sunny day. Four delivery pteradactyls flew along singing a happy song while carrying a rather large package. It was for Fred McFiddlefaddle! The pteradactyls landed at Fred's house.
"Thank you very much!", said Fred. "It was our pleasure" said a delivery pteradactyl, and off they flew!
Fred was excited. He opened the package. It was a teeter-totter! He could hardly wait to play with it! Then suddenly w M w stopped writing the story!

Ahh, good 'ol Raul... My good grandma bought me about all his kiddie books when I was a youngster. Upon reaching adulthood, I got all of his adult stories and was surprised that his story "The man from the south" was adapted into that movie "4 rooms". It was the last part of the film, the one that tarentino directed...
