How are you mastering you tracks? Are you a headphone or shitty speaker music maker? It is possible what we are hearing is different to what you are hearing, which can alter the whole dynamic of the track. |

i don't hate loads of bowie stuff, i just don't proactivly listen to all of his stuff as i prefer braindance and industrial stuff i haven't listened to my cure stuff for AGES because i've been listening to ae and afx and nin and bjork etc etc etc |

yes but thats just the thing if trent reached his creative peak he would bow out yes but you havent made enough music to do that!! these people have heard ONE of your songs... there is ALWAYS, without a doubt going to be at least 1 song they will not like its virtually impossible to get everyone to love everything you do... there are lots of people who dont like some of trent's or Aphex's songs and they're still going cuz they know they can do better! they;re just trying harder and harder.. you cant just give up at that first unliked song you KNOW you can do it baby! put your songs back online let them hear more stuff then they can get a wider opinion |

>ecnadniarb i'm using really wank headphones and a pair of £50 Creative Labs TravelSound speakers for my iBook (which honestly have a great sound, i don't think they'd be anywhere near what monitors can do, but they sound good anyways) i'm using TrackS24 on Windows yeah you're right, i probably am fucking up the mastering - never was too good at compression etc, but mastering doesn't have shit all to do with the structure of the track or anything >drunken mastah you don't have to do that man, i really appreciate you helping me please don't go out of your way just to help me |
