okay true.
i'm just rating how much impact a movie had on me....

TETSUO - The Iron Man 12/10

Really? I thought Tetsuo was pretty boring... Anyway:

The Bourne Ultimatum - 7/10 - Brilliant.
The Lost World (early 90s low budget remake) - 2/10 - Shit.
Call Of The Wild - 3/10 - Shit.
Dollar For The Dead - 2/10 - Shit.
Treasure Island (made for TV version) - 2/10 - Shit.
Layer Cake - 6/10 - Actually quite gripping.

symphaty for lady vengeance 3.5 / 5

not as good as the other two films by park chan wook
(symphaty for mr vengeance and old boy),
but still pretty enjoyable,
with a more funny and non-cruel attitude
than the other two films. amazing direction, beautifull
images and original narrative structure. it just lacks a
better script, imo...
recommended!

that's what everyone says.... i was disappointed... expected
some funnier stuff... couple of really good gags which were
mainly during the first half... and a lot of meh.... could
have had some great story with one of the side
characters....

Kelly's Heroes- 4/5, I love the slightly goofy war movies of
that era. The soundtrack had phat beats and moody grooves by
Lalo.

Sunshine- 5/5, definitely a flawed movie, but space is the
place so I don't care, dumb third act can't spoil it for
me.

How can you give a flawed movie a perfect score?!

Zodiac - 7/10 - Excellent. A fine study of obsession.
Aqua Teen Hunger yadda yadda - 2/10 - Crap. Who Funds this
shit?

a movie can get a perfect score for
entertainment/stimulating the imagination value, even though
some technical aspects may be flawed. right, ophecks? hope
it's okay if i answer for you.

blaaard - i went in with low expectations. it's great for a
lazy sunday afternoon.

'a dumb third act' is a little more than technical aspects
although I understand your perspective. I think i've only
ever seen a few films that I would class as a 10/10 film.

Yeah, something like that. I mean I wouldn't SERIOUSLY give
this a perfect score if I was reviewing it for a commercial
site or something. The only movies I'd give a 10 to would be
2001 and Solyaris. 2 other space movies. Sunshine is in
space. Me love space. Space space space.

The science in Sunshine is also strange. Shooting a bomb the
size of Manhattan into the sun to give it more ''fuel''
would be like pissing in the Atlantic ocean to make it
warmer!

notice i used the british derrog..."wankfest" it's not in
webster's so it must be a british term...

lemme give an example:

"wankfest" -- w.a.n.k.f.e.s.t.

while standing areound at starbucks waiting for my
white-chocolate mocca, i over heard two wankers arguing
about STP default BID's and one said: "nu-uh it's 32768
minus the vlan number"...and the other wank shouted:

"no way! it's (n>2)-2, then you add the left over bits from
the last octet!!!"

see...only the british could so colorfully coin such a
situation with masturbation refrences...btw, i've read in
the guardian that masturbation rates have lowered in the
last 5 years in britian due to FUGLY teeth...

true?

I've never heard of most of them. I just watched cocaine
