well, i'll try and do a mix before the deadline and you can see what you think. i'm doing it in reason, and the bpm is 148, it's in 4/8 and each "bar" is 40 1/8 long, and the way it's programmed it doesn't sound like 148 bpm. it's odd because it's built around samples of a track in 6/8, but edited into bits and pieces (incidentally, the samples are from a record for mormon children). if that makes sense to you... |

Yes, if you're going to beat mix them, it really would be better for people to submit them at 135, otherwise the pitch will sound all screwy, particularly if they're >140 or <130... |

K, but that's gonna limit overall creativity (which I will overcome by just using the mid-section of my track for this mix) on my track in a rather "cut to the chase" kind of way. I do hope you at least allow room outside the "<4 min" limit for transitional phases of about 30 secs in/out? |
