i absolutely love this one. I've played track #1 over a
thousand times i guess and it's getting better and better.
The megamix is a bit of a lowdown, but overall it's really
recommended. It's the only gescom release i have, so i don't
really can compare it with other ones, but i'm sure YOU can.

I got it a few weeks ago myself. I love it as well. I'm
definitely going to get more Gescom soon. Whatever I can
find really. I can't define what it is about it that I like
but I certainly do!

My favourite track is Tangle III, I could crank up that
beat, I love the way it feels/sounds, i want to touch it,
grope it, moles--- ehm.

I don't really like the second track (TR2A) at all, but the
rest of them are great; megamix is some crazy shit. slowacid
is great, iss sa is great,
overall: ACES!

My favorite Gescom is still Keynell.
Keynell 1 is one of my favorite songs ever, accross the
board out of any genre/sub genre/artist.

previous gescom stuff is more accessable at first listen
i.m.o, but also much harder to get hold on, since pretty
much of their material are out of print.

iss sa is a great ep after all and the artwork really works
well along with the music and the release is a gift to the
gescom fans out there.

out of d7.3 and this, I like this release much more,
definately the least accessible of gescoms stuff, but great
nonetheless, I was kind of pissed off when I realised that
the vinyl version comes without the megamix at the end, but
what can you do eh?

ISS:SA is absolutely not what I had expected from the new
Gescom :(

tis a very nice release .. different from the gescom sound
of old, but still retains the sort of gescom vibe i think?
mm.. hip hop "electroooooonica" or something .. maybe a bit
more legofeet type aspects in this release than others?

listening to 'two of' at the moment, lovely tune that is.

offline giginger from Milky Beans (United Kingdom) on 2003-10-21 03:13 [#00911638]
Points: 26326 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

So this is the least accesible? I take it that that means
that liking it on first listen would mean that I'll start a
romance with the earlier stuff?

oops, i mistakenly said tr2a is the second track, but it's
the third*

motor is less accessible than this one.

but that could be because motor isn't very good..

MEGAMIX is the track for me. destructuration of a keynell
loop (earable at about 7'30) making me 'hypnagogize'. Simple
but great (on "the magic sound of fenn o'berg", track 6,
there is the same work based on softballet forms' remix by
AE).
Track four is wonderfull for kicking my ass, and the whole
EP is a very good release.

Would you guys describe Iss Sa being similar to their track
on the ATP3.0 cd? I've only heard that + plus Keynell. I
like em both so if Iss is anything like those two I'll
probably try to find this release...

Actually I was a little disappointed over this release. And
I don't know why. It just doesn't sound right. My favourite
releases are Motor and Key Nell. It's not because Iss Sa is
harder to get into, but there is something about the
sound... Strange

my fave is keynell..that first track just rips!! i need
that one on vinyl someday..

iss:sa is good, but i'm afraid i only played it twice since
i got it.

Key Nell shouldn't be that hard to find on eBay.

I think I paid about $25 for mine - but that was a few years
ago.

note there are two pressings.

how can one tell the difference between the two pressings ?
is it clearly obvious, or should people look for obscure
details ?

I think it is noted on the vinyl.

but I can't remember.. let's see if I can find out.

didnt much care for this release, i think the artwork is the
best part....sounds a bit too confieldy to really stand
alone (though i do like confield).

The artwork bends my head more joyful shapes than the music,
but the title track is undeniably great.

slow acid is quite danceable actually, it'd be nice to see
messed headz wig out to it in a club....

even more amusing would be to see the attempts to dance to
tr2a

Tangle III for me. Just pounds relentlessly like "Under
BOAC" for several minutes and then settles down and chugs
along for the rest of the ride.

Mahvelous!

big love for SKA020. i've been a fan of TR2A since its debut
at Coachella (and literaly cause i was there). a track that
is completely unto its own.

the difference in the Key Nell pressings is that the records
labels are nice and clean on the 1st press but for the
second, its just these substandard scans of the original
art.
