a friend of mine who managed to get in contact with Rob Brown said they sit and smoke themselves to death, twiddling knobs and stuff. are there any interviews where they state their opinion regarding weed? and now, the best one: do you think their music suffers? :D |

I took shrooms intending to make music but ended up running from old men who came through the walls. Then I tried sleeping but all I saw were fractals and odd faces in the fractals and felt like I was moving at about two hundred miles an hour through tunnels. Looking back it was well cool but I was scared shitless. Weed while producing is buff though. I'd say 50% of my tunes are done while stoned. |

I used to smoke a lot of pot, and I really don't think I was any more creative when I did it, although at that time I think that I thought I was. In fact, I remember listening to the same loop for hours on end being stoned and maybe slightly tweaking the effect here and there. I would listen to what I had done later and found it sounded like crap, but when I was stoned whatever effects I had running made it sound real cool. I don't smoke any more, and I find my work to be a lot more interesting and I actually complete entire songs. Overall I think there is a lot more substance to what I am doing and it is much more mature over all. I think pot is really deceptive. In addition to having anxiety issues when I smoke I also feel as though I have some special insight into everything around me, which is generally negative. Things that I usually like, be it music, people or anything seems really different and gross, as though I were "seeing it for what it really is." I think it is a distorted half truth. Overall pot makes me cynical and anxious/uncomfortable. |
