the first one was okay.

he said the second one was going to be more plot-intensive.
hopefully it is better then.

i love it!

yeah!

WOO WOOOT!

yeah it was pretty good.

Some Kill Bill Updates from Darkhorizons.com:

Empire spoke to the cast of Kill Bill 2 recently and
Michael Madsen described just how inpleasant his
character gets to be to The Bride in Volume 2:

"Ever since Reservoir Dogs I've been known as Mr Blonde, but
that's all about to fucking change. When people see Budd in
full flow, they really ain't gonna forget him.' Budd has
'retired from the Viper squad and decided to do something
like become a bouncer in a strip club, but when his brother
comes to him and says, "She's back," what's the guy gonna
do? He's just gotta act. He does some very dastardly things
to The Bride, to Uma. He is genuinely reprehensible at
times...it is seriously dark and seriously nasty".

from darkhorizons.com

DavisDVD reports that filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has
some major plans for his latest opus, Kill Bill. While
promoting the second volume of the series, opening
theatrically on April 16th, Tarantino revealed that he plans
to recut both films together for a special theatrical
release later in the year.

"We did a special version [of Volume 1] for Japan that's
only been shown in Japan and Hong Kong, and I kept the
rights to that," Tarantino said. "I'll put the Japanese
version together [with Volume 2] like I would if it was one
complete movie, and then I'll release that throughout
America and Europe in arthouse engagements."

Tarantino also promises more extensive DVD plans for the
revenge films. "I'm going to do a special collector's
edition of both of them once I'm finished with both of
them," he said. Also in the talking phase, Tarantino is
considering the possibility of releasing stand-alone
supplemental discs. "One of the things that I saw that I
liked... was what the American Pie guys did with their
'Beneath the Crust' documentaries. I want to do the same
thing [for Kill Bill]."

I love the original films as well, and this is a great

Only a week to go now. I've listened to a bit of the
soundtrack and its awesome, i'm definately going to have to
get some more Ennio Morricone music. I think Vol 2 will be
better than the first, shame there is no anime sequence in
it though.

so it's over and i think it was a great piece of cinema.
once again, Tarantino goes totally against expectations to
come up with a truely original film. I hear rumor that
Tarantino is going to edit together a complete version of
Kill Bill for DVD.

that should be pretty dope.

Now that I've finally seen both...

What did you love about this film?
Vol. 1&2 - The selection of music, the over-the-top combat
sequences, the sympathetic villain in O-Ren Ishii, and every
way in which the film was constructed. I enjoyed how every
chapter of these films seemed to be an homage to a specific
film genre...Chapter 1 is an homage to blaxploitation films,
Chapter 7 pays tribute to Italian horror classics.... there
seemed to be something new at every turn.

what was your favorite scene?
Vol. 1 - In the anime cutscene, when the blood of O-Ren's
mother rains down on her face, with that beautiful choir in
the background. I nearly cried at that part - it was
MOVING.
Vol. 2 - When Beatrix is being buried alive, when everything
is black, and all your hear is her horrified weeping and
dirt raining down in sinister oblivious thuds. Chilling.

what was your favorite line of dialogue?
Vol. 1 - "For those of you who still live.... you may go.
However, leave the limbs you've lost.... they belong to me
now."
Vol. 2 - "I've never been nice in my whole life... but I'll
do my best to be sweet."
