It's grown on me, at first I wasn't really a fan. But now
it's one of my favorite Aphex releases.

I got into Aphex late in his career so I wasn't accustomed
to his non drill n bass work.

places like there wasnt anything about at the time that
could do what the album wanted

imo

I'm really not keen on half of the tracks. A lot of it's
rather unmemorable... bah.

Awesome album, and everytime I listen to it, I wonder about
the possibilities of a new Aphex album in this style. Lay
off the psycho beats for a while.

Ohh yes! I thought he'd really cracked it on that album - A
lot of real sounding instruments too - Really interesting
album - I'd have to say it's my favorite along with
SAW'85-92...
But yeah, I didn't immediately click with it - But that's
usually the sign of great music.

I SO remember this as my first Aphex listen. I bought it at
the store cause the cover was so friggin sick. I never
analyzed the tracks the way I do now. I mean, it didn't
even sound too appealing at the time......it just sounded
friggin' repetitive, and Alberto Balsalm was a really chill
track....

but now.....ohohohhooh....
this CD is among the greatest....I realize so much more now
that RDJ had put into his music.....I love this album.

Wet Tip Hen Ax is savory......ohhhh.....i love just about
every track on this album....and i also love how half the
tracks can almost spell "Aphex Twin".... :)

Mmm, the 'Aphex Twin' and 'The Aphex Twin' anagram titles
are pretty clever. And one or two which almost do it.

The pinnacle of aphex, fun, interesting, profound. It's a
great album.

alberto balsalm is still one of the first tracks I play for
people who are interested in "what kind of music I listen
to". It's inviting and almost everyone likes it.

yeah, it was my second Aphex Twin cd, and it's good... just
too much kinda boring stuff on there... some of his finest
songs are there though, like Avid Acrid Jam Shred, Start as
You Mean to go On, and Alberto Balsalm...
