this sounds good. you should make it available to download
sometime in decent quality 160kb/s+

phobe. you got a tracklisting for this?

offline giginger from Milky Beans (United Kingdom) on 2003-09-02 13:52 [#00846684]
Points: 26326 Status: Lurker | Show recordbag

I fucking hate Dial-up! It's taking me ages to download
Winamp and then when I finally do have it my connection will
either:

a) Drop and not allow me to connect till 4 minutes after
this has finished

b) Just generally be shit and not go fast enough and this'll
be really choppy for me

c) FUCK DIAL-UP AND FUCK BT!

offline Phobiazero from the next Xltronic (Sweden) on 2003-09-02 13:53 [#00846686]
Points: 10507 Status: Webmaster | Show recordbag

i have no tracklisting, but it wouldnt be too difficult to
make one.

as for having this stuff available for download... don't
take it for granted.. it's copyrighted material. streaming
it @ 56 kbit is not a problem, but providing it in full
quality would be next to criminal! UGH!

:)

I live in this village

BT are so fucking crap they're doing a pre-registration
scheme for broadband. so fucking close to it but so fucking
far as well! It's a joke as once you've reached the total
they then do another check and it can take a couple of
months before you've actually got broadband. >:(

Points: 26326 Status: Lurker | Followup to Phobiazero: #00846686 | Show recordbag

Even though I'm not listening to it I'm taking it that it's
a DJ style mix. So he's not playing the whole tunes really?
Can you not get around it that way?

only 10 more to go.... and one week. get out on the streets
and recruit'em!

I think the rule is, at braodcast quality you are allowed to
play a track for 15 seconds?

This stream is less than broadcast quality.

I bet these rules have changed.

offline giginger from Milky Beans (United Kingdom) on 2003-09-02 14:05 [#00846711]

Now here's the funny thing. I actually ordered a shit load
of stickers from BT and put them around the village. Some
cheeky git from up the road then had teh cheek to ask me if
I'd registered for broadband yet. Now this meant him coming
to my door and walking past a window with:

REGISTER NOW FOR BROADBAND!

www.getonandgetit.co.uk

In large black letters on a bright pink background. I have
lost faith in this countries citizens.

Anyway, to answer your question. I have done some street
stuff. That big surge a little while ago was me :)
The earliest registrations are me as well..
Many of them in fact. ;P

I'm not a source of knowledge on these types of things but
that's how I understand/remember it. I read up on it a while
ago.

Pomme: More than likely.

there are some things ive heard that would have been
impossible to pull with only 2 turntables...

maybe cds, maybe turntables + some other things?

Well what I've managed to hear was nice but it was dropping
more than a whore's knickers and I was using a spot someone
else can take.

Yeah that's a good thing, everything after that becomes alot
more difficult to mix don't you think?

the mix will soon start over, but newcomers will more than
likely enjoy the first part again!

hehe.. difficult, but not impossible.

its just that theres so many new people in the scene who
dont care about historical references, its good to see
someone showcasing the classics.
