Have any of you done a cover version of an
electronic/idm/autechre/aphex/boc etc., etc, track?

Loads of remixes of tracks out there but I've rarely heard a
proper cover version.

Hmm, could be interesting?

If you've done one or know of any, now's the time to chuck a
link this way

i've done one. it was intended as a remix for this
competition but in hindsight it's more of a cover than a
real remix :(

i havent covered an electronic track... but as of right now,
i have these following covers in the works : d'angelo - the
root, marvin gaye - when did you stop loving me...
i plan on having a female vocalist for them... so far they
sound... sparse... will be a long time til finished... if
they ever do get completed.

Could be the idea of another competition, no?

Pick a track from from the catalogue of either Aphex Twin,
Boards of Canada or Autechre and without using any samples
from your chosen track, do a cover of it.

... stop me if I'm talking bollocks.

DL'ing now

Quite good. Has an Eastern Euorpean/Oriental type feel to
it.

bob marley - sun is shining remix btw :)

fuck, forgot to tell you another thing. It might sound as
finished, but it's not. I made this remix a few months ago
and I still need to add the: "To the rescue, here I am....."
part. So it's not totally finished, but you'll get a decent
view of what the result's gonna sound like.

Good. But still has the feel of a remix rather than a cover
version.

Nice production though.
