I like Wasted Sunday more than any of the Astrobotnias, but
they're pretty good too. What a character.

I feel like I'm in a time warp or something... this question
is so 15 years ago.

alexis ???? (forgot his last name)

its ovuca 100% hands down, the pictures tell 1000 words, and
ovuca and astrobotna are from the same town

but mainly its the greaet pictures weve seen that prove it.

Taken from the BBC site.

"Rephlex told us that it's not actually Aphex (the album
would have been released under the AFX title if it was,
apprently) but rather the work of one Kristian Richards
(apparently dispelling the Ovuca rumour), who seems to be a
new artist on the roster making his debut on the label.
Regardless of how good a marketing move you might think all
of this secrecy and tomfoolery is, the fact remains that
Astrobotnia Part 01 is a pretty credible and interesting
release even though it sounds a lot like something Richard D
James would have been involved with."

Ophecks,

Yeah I got the impression this question was as you say "so
15 years ago" but I couldn't be stuffed doing a search. He
he.

yeah but, its better that people get into the music late,
then not at all

*owns all 3 astrobotnia parts !!
(and still listens to them)

offline promo from United Kingdom on 2003-07-16 11:05 [#00781768]

Taken from the notes at the bottom of the Pitchfork
Astrobotnia review "Note: Since this review was published,
it has been discovered that Astrobotnia is-- surprise!-- not
a pseudonym for Aphex Twin at all, but instead for Rephlex
recording artist Ovuca." Now I'm really confused.

I have the promo cd with an extract of each part (45 minutes
in total) in which there are just 8 minutes from part 2, but
those are the best 8 minutes of the cd...
I wish it were available in cd too (part 2 I mean)

I just realised that extract promo exists, is the stuff on
there the same as on the full albums? Seems like the kind of
place they'd hide a secret special bonus track, omg wtf etc.
