Regarding aliens - even most scientists concur, that even if
we regard all known evidence of extraterrestrial life as
false, the probabilities based on what we know of the
universe suggests that there is a greater chance of life on
other planets (almost certainly), than the contrary.

1. Dupont Circle, Logan Circle, and Scott Circle in the
middle, form the top three points. Washington Circle forms
the extreme left-hand point. Mt. Vernon Square forms the
extreme right-hand point.

Could they use any more subtlety. Why don't they just
spray-paint "we are the spawn of Lucifer" in big red letters
on the whitehouse.

it wouldn't match GW's shoes.

You'd think Satan could at least cough up some coin amongst
all his fire and brimstone to at least outfit his evil band
of demons with a matching wardrobe.

(including shoes that would go well with the red spray-paint
"we are the spawn of Lucifer" on the whitehouse...)

But why did the world conspirators chose the word
"Illuminati" for their satanic organization? Weishaupt
himself said that the word is derived from Lucifer and means
«holders of the light».

What exactly is Lucifer? How do you derive something from
Lucifer? The language of the devil? It sounds like the
word "Illumination" which is clearly similar to English. If
anything, "Lucifer" should sound nothing like English.

The illuminati are illumined, or illumunated.

The name lucifer means bearer of light (light being
knowledge) . In the bible Lucifer tempted adam and eve. It
was him who gave the gift of knowledge to mandkind. The
luciferians belive he is the father of knowledge.

So my degree in science isn't really helping matters I
suppose. I'm often torn between the benefits of education
or knowledge, and its downfalls.

On one hand, I see the practical benefit of using it to do
"good", and yet for the most part, I believe knowledge is
misused for purposes that either directly or indirectly
bring harm to fellow organisms and the environment.

It isn't knowledge that is evil, it simply takes misguided
individuals to use knowledge recklessly at the cost of
other's freedoms.

You could also argue, that knowledge in the hands of an
imperfect being is potential disaster. Hence; knowledge can
be evil.

Kind of like the One Ring ;).

If reading about this kind of thing is fun for anyone, you
should read "Foucault's Pendulum" by Umberto Eco.
