Hey, I forgot who it was I was talking to on here... but
they where talking about tim hecker...

I was wondering if anyone could suggest an album to check
out?

Also, will I be able to find him in stores? or is he pretty
underground?

Thanks!

i was shiteing on about how amazing he was at Sonar this
year... a total sonic trip. gorgeous ambience in a dark
vein.´..... google him and buy it!

i only have his "Haunt Me Haunt Me Do It Again" and "My Love
Is Rotten to the Core" (ep) and they're both great

i love haunt me..., so minimalistic and beautiful - he got
me right into ambient again, right after i listened to it
for the first time (i think most of the stuff he was playing
at sonar was from this album)

im also expecting "Radio Armour"...but it looks like its
pretty hard to get

i got haunt me and rotten to the core quite easilly tho
check alien8.com for that

you better go for florian hecker me friends, this man makes
pure art-music without any samples

hmm, dont think he's releasing any singles...
haunt me works perfect as a whole, but wouldnt make much
sense if listening only to one track

dont know how his radio armour's like tho

Maybe his album tracks are ok but live......
fucking awful mate. We went to have a listen and it was so
bad. It was just this droning noise. Like the one Jim Carrey
makes in Dumb and Dumber. It just went on and on and on and
on and on and on and on and on........
Every now and then there'd be a slide up in pitch but that
was it. There was fuck all to hear. We stayed for a good
while waiting for something to happen but nothing did :(
I got excited at one point because I though something else
was happening then I realised it was someone falling over
making the better noise :)

hahaha, i love watching this guys playing this unlistenable
stuff, especially when some crazy guy (stoned, high, drunk?)
walks infront of a speaker and starts to dance, even tho
there's nothing to dance to :)
i wouldnt mind seeing florian live tho

You've got a point there. Some nutter just started giving it
large to him. There was not beat at all in the music but
this man found it and he was having it. Repect to him.

wow giginger......... me and the misus really loved Heckers
set at Sonar. We took snaps of ourselve in a state of bliss
listening to his stuff. we were on the grass sitting down
and toally getting sucked into the sounds he created......
one of the highlights for us. i´m serious, mate... top
class stuff

Maybe he just starts off with that stuff and it gets better.
We'd gone to the pub after though so heard nothing else of
it. I'll download a couple of tracks and see what I
think.... Your taste and decisions are one's to trust Key.

i just put clicks and cuts volume3 in player, and guess
what...there's a brilliant tune "brownwedding" by tim hecker
on 2nd cd

i had no idea it was there, even tho i had this album for a
long time...the first tunes where not really up to my
likings so i put it aside...am i lucky or what hehe

I downloaded 'haunt me, haunt me, do it again' a month or so
ago after reading a suggestion here. i really like it and
hope to get it on cd before i get my new car. i think it'd
be great to drive around to. in fact, i'm going to look now
online as to where i could order this.
